    Back in the old days

sometimes i get the urge to play the older titles. part of me compares the old game or games to the ones made today while the other part simply plays due to the nostalgic feeling that i get that reminds me that at one point the game that has been sitting in the closet for a good portion of years was once one of my every day focuses in life. Recently i dug up a few games but one stood out that i had to play which was donkey kong country 2. i quickly broke out my old snes plugged it in delved into the game. What seemed like minutes turned into hours as the next thing i know the clock went from 7 pm straight to 11:30 at night. and during that period of four some odd hours (including bathroom breaks ) i found my self enjoying the game that i played religiously for a very long time in my younger years. Any one else have experiences like these? if so share them re-hash on your glory video game days where all you had to worry about was the score at the end or how fast you beat the game instead of paying various bills and how your gonna make ends meet.

If you enjoy older games, I would recommend 3D DOT HEROES. It is really fun and brings you back, while keeping the HD.

I cannot get over how much I'm loving "super mario crossover"

I have been playing it for at least a couple hours a day for the past 2 weeks. It's just so much fun playing w/ the different characters.

I love playing older games, especially ones I played as a kid. I recently beat(again) Ocarina of Time...and was reminded as to why it is my favorite game ever.

I go through these phases constantly, and will start another one Tuesday when Final Fantasy IX drops on the Playstation Store.

I used to almost never sell or get rid of my old games, and as such I have a good-sized collection of NES, SNES, N64, and PS2 games (some PS1 also, but not as many as the others - basically Square games).

I go back and find myself playing Earthbound and the first Mario RPG a lot.

I got together with some old high school buddies over this past weekend, and after the
alcohol started flowing we were all in the mood for some video games. I figured we would play some Call of Duty or NHL/Madden on the Xbox, or some Wii sports. Nope... my friend spotted my old SNES, and we ended up playing Super Tecmo Bowl all weekend long! It was so nice to play quick FUN games... good times!!!

Sometimes I get the "retro jones" and play my old ColecoVision and Atari 2600/7800 systems. Of course, the graphics were crude, but the gameplay was solid.
