Despite his claims to the contrary, David Jaffe took to the stage after a new Twisted Metal teaser trailer to announce that his new project: Twisted Metal for PS3.
Jaffe then showed a gameplay demonstration showing off the game's new helicopters and motorcycles which have been added to the types of vehicles we're used to seeing in the Twisted Metal series. Another new feature is the ability to enter a first-person mode when controlling the helicopter to fire a gatling gun at enemies. Up to 16 players can play together online, with support for 4-player split-screen multiplayer, too.
The game is playable on the E3 show floor, so expect to hear a lot more about how the game feels, including details on the new "Nuke" gameplay mode that appears to be a VIP mode where you abduct the enemy team's leader in order to get a nuclear missile that you can then launch at your opponent's statue.
