Game is shown briefly in this video as Achilles meets one of the bosses after devouring several Spartan soldiers.

I know I made a thread a few months back, but I'm officially stoked about seeing more information with this title. This is a game that I've wanted for a LONG time. Troy, my favorite movie of all time, I've always thought would make a great title for a videogame. They did it with Spartan on the original xbox and PS2, but I never got a chance to play them.

Looking forward to this absolutely. Hopefully more info will be available as e3 progresses.

I'm glad you posted this...I just found this clip and was thrilled to see it is still in the works. I was worried as I hadn't seen or heard anything on it for a while. It looks incredible!

All I could find about a release date was Fall 2010...have you seen anything different?

I'm wondering if this game wouldn't benefit from the inclusion of lock on targeting for 1 on 1 fight like the one shown at the end of the video.

Yeah, I'm wondering that too. Overall though, I'm ecstatic. I can't wait for this game. And I thought I was the only one, so now I know that there are at least two of us.

This is the only footage I've seen from this e3, hopefully there will be more info.

I've heard an October release for it, but that could change. Looks pretty good though. Can't wait til KOEI gets some time with reviewers, so we can maybe see some more of this title. So glad it wasn't scrapped like I was afraid of.

Thanks for the links...that trailer looked phenomenal! Like you, I was worried that this title was scrapped as there hadn't been any news on it for a while. It's a must buy for me!

Do the enemies just stand there and get slaughtered without making noise at all? Seems a little weird, but the concept is awesome.

I saw the trailer and thought "hey something new,this looks awesome" then saw it was made by Koei and realized it's likely to be Dynasty Warriors in Greece.

It's "similar" but they said this game was actually built from the ground up. It's going to have similarities, since they are fighting hords and hords of enemies... but I think it's gonna be a different experience. Regardless, I'm ecstatic.

Has some new screens on there as well. I'm stoked. The Fury meter sounds awesome.

So there aren't any supernatural elements? Everything is grounded (more or less) in reality?

Well, I mean, you are going to face the Gods occassionally, but beyond that, everything is grounded in History. Some of the other videos I posted earlier showed some higher difficulty, where the weaker soldiers were attacking Achilles. Also saw a spear throw from the Mighty Achilles. Absolutely sick.

Yikes...the Gods thing always ruins it for me. I just wish they would ground it in pseudo reality...like Troy.

I gotta say I like the era and all but killing all those guys at once and they just stand there...I dont know..seems kinda easy.
