Is it safe play FF 13 on ps3?

I gamefly'd the game and i was at end of chapter 7, and after that boss fight the screen went black, nothing happened. I reloaded and it happened again so i got online to look and i read that this game has burned out a few ps3's.

That the strain has ruined the blue ray laser, so i was able to beat the boss and go onto chap 8 but im concerned if i continue what will happen.

What yall think?

I'm on the last fight of the game....ditto.

The "my console died because of x game" complaints really get blown out of proportion...

Im only concnerned cause it froze after chap 7 twice, and its workin now but still.
