    RPG's on the PSP

I've been searching for a really good RPG for the PSP for nearly half a year now and I'm really struggling. So I'm hoping someone out there knows of a little gem of a game that has flown under the radar.

Basically, is there an RPG out there for the PSP that is like Morrowind or Oblivion?

It seems every RPG I find is Japanese orientated. I'm afraid I'm not a fan of these games or anything else that resembles Final Fantasy.

I would just like an RPG like Morrowind that allows me to play for 10 mins or so during my lunch break. Simple tasks like picking up some plants and creating a new potion, before selling it to the nearest alchemist would be 10 mins well spent for me.

I'll take the silence as a no then.

Maybe Sony felt that no-one would want a deep RPG game on a handheld.

Wow, I wrote a response, but it didn't post. Anyhow, I don't have anything along those lines, but there is a great God of War game called Chains of Olympus that's definitely worth a play.

I bought the Assasin's Creed game on there, and it's ok, but the platforming leaves a lot to be desired. I wouldn't suggest it.

There are some old Final Fantasy games. I picked up one and enjoyed it (can't remember the version, but it was one I played on the original GameBoy).

Check out Untold Legends (I bought both, but haven't played yet), Warriors of the Lost Empire (hack 'n slash), the Prince of Persia games (not bad), and finally Daxter.

Not all of those are RPGs, but they are good action based games, several of which (like God of War) have a pretty good story to tell as well. Oh, and buy them on eBay, you can get 'em dirt cheap.

I know you said no Japanese RPGs but one of the best of the JPN RPGs was just released last week - Persona 3. Its a remake of the older PS2 version but its receiving incredible high reviews and is a top seller.

The game can take you into the hundreds of hours, again I know not your cup of tea but its the latest and greatest from the PSP.

Now I just need to start playing my copy...

Might want to check out Harvest Moon if picking plant and making a potion seems like a good time to you.
