There truly are moments when I get lost in the spectacle of it all. I didn't think I could be any more immersed than I was in BC2, but I was wrong. Sound plays such a huge role in this game. I love when I can hear a tank roaring closer and closer to me, but I can't see it and I start to slightly panic as I don't know if it's friend or foe.

Re: Battlefield 3
glad I am not alone! I am messing with my brightness. My TV seems to be WAY too bright, so I am trying to ton it down, but also just practicing.I'm right there with you bro. I had to turn the brightness up higher than what they actually specified (the barely visible crap). My word of encouragement is just keep playing. The more you play the better you get at seeing things. I have to learn not to get pissed, because I know I'm not as good as most of the guys killing me. I just have to have fun with it./bdComment

Re: Battlefield 3
I was wrong. The best you can do is change the heli buttons to alternate and the heli stick to legacy. This makes the Left stick the throttle. It's close but still different enough.
I got into a chopper to try it out and immediately hit a couple of walls. I thought to myself I better let Candy know I was lying.Comment

Re: Battlefield 3
I notice a little lag with some input controls. I notice it when I try to throw out med kits/ammo/defib. I usually have to hold down the d-pad until I see the box appear. Don't press it repetitively because it looks like it just arms then disarms it per press.
Edit: Anyone Know how to mute people?
I had some random on that kept yelling into the mic how badly our team sucked and how all the noobs at the bottom love COD. Then he proceeded to irritatingly whine "C-O-D" in the mic for the first half of the match. We won that match.Last edited by Chizzypoof; 10-27-2011, 10:40 AM.Comment

Re: Battlefield 3
I've got it unlocked for my m416, but haven't tried it yet.
What guns have you guys been finding the most success with ?
I've mostly played with my assault class. I need to use some others to get more guns unlocked.Comment

Re: Battlefield 3
Yeah Chizzy I was wondering because that was one of the first things I went to look at in controls. Every since someone here mentioned that you could change the flight controls in BFBC2 to the previous version I've learned to look there first.I was wrong. The best you can do is change the heli buttons to alternate and the heli stick to legacy. This makes the Left stick the throttle. It's close but still different enough.

No kidding! Was in a game last night and it was like the guys on the other team were professional pilots. They would fly through shooting up everything in site, then make the turn to come back and do it again almost seemlessly. I had to stop for a moment and look up to admire what the heck was going on...that was, until I pulled out my Stinger/Igla and knocked those pretty birds out the sky
Such a rewarding feeling seeing a heli in a tailspin after getting that lock-on confirmation.

Re: Battlefield 3
AMEN Lt. Dan!! As someone that lacks the quick twitch skills to be successful in most FPSs, I couldn't agree more....I love playing online and feeling like I'm contributing to something rather than bringing up the rear in kill counts. I can get a low kill count and still finish fifth in points out of 12 on my team in Rush
That felt great! Awesome to be rewarded for good teamwork and play rather than solely on marksmanship...
I wouldn't know

Re: Battlefield 3
So it seems (on 360) if you want to run more than one squad on the same team, EA may cockblock you between matches. On many occasions I've seen a team with multiple squads in party get split up in between matches. This really sucks.Comment

Re: Battlefield 3
In a game I was in with a few OS'ers last night a Jet blew up right above me from a rocket and the pieces of it nearly landed right on me, It scared the hell out of me lol. Game is so visceral its really amazing, and like others have said, setting audio to wartapes with a good pair of headphones or surround sound really makes it feel and sound so damn real, its nuts!Comment
