How the hell do I get the MCOM defender ribbon? Do I have to camp an MCOM and kill a guy arming it 4 times?

I believe your squad leader has to put a defend order on it. Then if you kill anybody near it, it will count towards the ribbon.

Can someone explain what frames per second is?

A friend of mine was just telling me how much better bf3 would be if it was 60 frames per second. That this game only runs 30 fps.

So what would the difference be? And how does it affect the gaming experience?

Thanks for the invite jnes & Comfortablylomb even though I was on the shorthanded team most games. Couldn't stay long as my brother wanted to watch some dvd's on the PS3. Jnes when you killed me with the tank on Operation firestorm I made it my mission to track you down. I flanked from the right and seen you were damaged and someone hopped out to repair from behind and I shot him then c4'd the tank. I didn't know if I would get close enough as I had to make a mad dash. I eventually was killed afterwards but that's the price of war. Thanks again guys, til next time.

You know how they say a picture is worth a 1000 words? multiply that by 60

Actually that's a little misleading because the 1st frame isn't going to tell you much different than the 60th (You'd probably have a seizure if it did). Bottom line it's less lag to enable you to respond quicker. A lot of kills come down to millseconds and that extra animation you see might make a difference.

I think defender MCOM is when you disarm the MCOM 3/4 times in a round. That's the only time I ever get it. On conquest I think you get flag defender by defending a point, 3/4 kills defending. And the following attack order is just a small little 10/20 point bonus if your squad leader paints an objective.

Shoulda taken my tags, man! It sucks that guys end up on the wrong team. They should have an option to only join if you get on the team as the person you are joining

No, MCOM defender is killing an enemy if they are in the act of arming or just armed it. Like if you put C4 on the MCOM and blow the dude up right after he arms it it counts as an MCOM defend. But 4 of those is impossible if you are defending the right way. I had to go out of my way to get that ribbon

EDIT: If you are having trouble getting it, on rush on Firestorm, play as support and equip a shotgun and lace the MCOM on the right with C4 and go up the stairs to the platform that overlooks the MCOM. Then just camp there and use the shotgun as your first choice and kill a guy arming and if he arms it just blow him up and go disarm. Unless 4-5 guys all rush that one MCOM at the same time you will get the ribbon because they won't look for you before trying to arm it

i was on your team...i went positive but we got raped....i did get a double kill of jnes and Comfortable lamb when they were in a tank lol

Good rounds last night, guys! Boy we won a squeaker there didn't we?? I only need one more Conquest win for the conquest medal, arrgh. 16 more repair ribbons for the maintenance medal, too.

I downloaded the update and lost everything. It wiped my slate clean. Lost all of my guns, my colonel rank, attachments, etc.

That happened to me once on BF3. I was on the verge of total freakout but restarted up the 360 and all was well. Like the others were saying, it's likely a server hiccup.

LOL, wasn't me. I'm silent on PS3...I put my A40's on to talk to you Jnes last night and I wanted to beef up team communications too....plus you get to hear me go '****!' every time I die But then I remembered I had my A40's mixamp setup for the 360 so I couldn't use my mic. I need to figure out how to set it up (or if it can be set up) for voice on PS3, too. I'll pull up the manual after I post this.

I remember hearing some guy spouting off lol. But what was WAAAAAAY funnier was our first bout at Caspian when I wound up on the opposite team with a bunch of vociferous Spanish speaking gentlemen LOL. They were kicking the crap out of you most of the round and laughing and whooping it up. They made me laugh out loud several times....especially when one of you would kill them and they'd swear at you in Spanish. Oh they were having BIG fun.

That round was close, they had the lead for most of the game until we took 3 of the 4 flags late. All I could hear was Jnes saying don't do anything just stay put as he was counting down the tickets, lol!

Then we got crushed on Metro! There were some seriously ranked dudes on that team.

Yeah, Metro was a nightmare. I haven't been shoved out of B that fast yet! Those guys were on the ball and SUPER aggressive. I have also never literally fought from the deployment point on Metro either like that...literally, spawn and shoot. Crazy!

That was some serious team you were on. Yikes! Never seen such an aggressive front like that before. Everyone was spread out evenly with no openings to punch through!
