Medics don't need to be adjusted. People just need to choose appropriate kits for the map they're playing. You don't see anyone saying the medic is overpower on a vehicle-heavy map. In closer quarters, if a team doesn't a bunch of medics running around they're stupid and deserve to lose.
Like I said, it doesnt need to be removed. Just balanced out some. Make them work a little harder for that revive.
There is no skill, strategy, or risk involved when it comes to reviving. Every other class has it when you look at using a rocket launcher, c4, motion sensor, etc. Any four year old can effectively use revives and score well and be a major help to the team.
I can understand if they also didnt come coupled with the best weapons in the game. That they werent the "killing machines" but their main job was actually to patch people up, and any kills they got was just icing on the cake. But thats not the case.
As it stands now, in rush or any cqc map, a team should just run an entire platoon of medics. They'll win almost every time. And to me, that's unbalanced and lame.Comment

Le sigh...
I guess I just want TOO much balance.
I just dont like essentially being forced to play assault in cqc. It is what it is (shout out to all those who hate that phrase lol).Comment

Re: Battlefield 3
Ive seen of top dogs(MVPs) as recon support and engnineer in CQC and TDM it just all comes down to how well a person can utilize all the classes abilities. All have an advantage over one another when you break it down class by class. Assault is just more "appropriate" for close quarters, just like any sizable map with vehicles is appropriate for engineer, recons and support is appropriate for all sizes. The game is situationally balanced IMO.PSN: TBD

Re: Battlefield 3
I think the medic is just fine.
If anyone has ever seen me play, they'll know some of the revives I get, I did some kind of crazy jump, dive, and revive that saved a ticket.
I would have said jump, dive, and roll.. but we know that's not possibleComment

Re: Battlefield 3
I'll agree with others who said medics are fine as is. I think there is a time and place for medics but they are not always the most useful class. AFAIK the kill still counts when you down someone, the revive merely saves a ticket. One of my biggest peeves with this game is still when the revive does not work and I'm in a pinch. That's the risk when you do choose to revive--you put your arms away so you can't defend yourself, thus you're vulnerable to attack. So when I'm trying to quickly revive someone and get back to cover or pull out my weapon and the revive fails, I get dead. That annoys me haha, but it is work-related hazard.
My other biggest peeves with this game are the spotting mechanics. A lot of the time when I'm trying to spot enemies it just does not work and it drives me nuts. I realize when I'm using the MAV and trying to spot in quantity it is probably just the spot's cooldown effect, but even that does not seem consistent. In isolated spotting incidents I have the same trouble. I'm not really sure why it works so on and off. Then there are teammates who simply ignore my spotting. If I try and spot defensively to give a guy a head's up that the enemy is coming up behind or nearby, I'll see people just ignore the spot and get stabbed in the back. I know my one friend never looks at the mini-map and that could be part of the problem, but wake up people! And that's not anyone on here, haven't had many matches with you guys lately.
I'd say the last biggest peeve of mine is the knifing mechanics. Those can get really frustrating at times. Just yesterday I was right behind someone ready to pounce and my guy just stood there after he pulled out the knife. I also wish you could knife from the front, which I do reactionary, but then I always get killed because my one knife swipe only does 50% damage while the enemy obliterates me with bullets.Comment
