How does one get into the beta?

Yes kids, Battlefield 3 gets a release date, it’s heading to all major consoles and the Personal Computer on October 25th
The game will be showed off at today’s EA press conference and will also see some light at Sony’s press conference later on this week.

I hope they do something similar to the beta for Gears 3, where you can also play the beta if you pre-order the game...otherwise I'll be in the same boat as you, as much as I'm anticipating this game I just can't buy Medal of Honor.

They said the beta is an "open beta" which would imply that anyone can get it.

It looks as if the FPS genre has fully matured. LOVE the melee animation.

That looks so real it might be giving some vets some flashbacks.

wow...just...wow. This looks amazing. I can practically taste the blodd spraying everywhere man. This game is gonna be intense. The only thing it needs is an IV admin simulater in the the game to give you the real feeling of being messed up!

Don't worry. Amazing things still happen on the PS3, even after hackgate.

A few scenes in the Frostbite trailer are PS3 gameplay. Look at the still picture before you turn on the video. Aslo when it shows the guy in the suit is PS3. This game looks fantastic either way.

im curious on what kind of rig they are running that in...its beautiful!
