I find that the Recon class is where I can't score for anything.

The engineer allows you to do your duties (repair, disable vehicles) while you kill and play the objectives. The assault allows you to do your duties (heal, revive) while you kill and play the objectives. Support allows you to do your duties (drop ammo, blow up stuff, give cover fire) while you kill and play the objectives.

So this enables you to be constantly scoring points. You can rack up a ton of points just doing your duties in the other classes.

Recon, not so much. You get only 10 points for the sensor. And 20 if you spot with the MAV. I think its something like that. You get 20 or so destroying equipment with the MAV. And you only get 10 points for squad spawns.

On top of that, while using the recons best piece of equipment, the MAV, you can't even move. So you can't attack objectives and you can't get kills unless ur trying to mow people down with it.

And if your equipment gets destroyed, you've got nothing. Which makes the class essentially useless until you die.

The Recon, for me, sucks for scoring. Its by far my worst class.

But as an aside, I find that it definitely helps the team when I play as a Recon. I think that lighting the opposition up with the MAV really helps my team. Usually when I do that, we win. Again, I just don't score many points.

I would say they all have a fair chance of being at the top. Although assault class gets the easiest points by just reviving therefore the points required to unlock weapons is much higher. I play a split of engineer and assault and I'm up there in about every game. I've started to play recon now the other day and was picking people off from not too far away and was getting 150 marksman everytime. I had 10 kills with 3000 points finishing 2nd from just spotting and a few headshots. Also I find the guys with the crazy high 800+ SPM and ridiculous stats, they're all playing engineer the majority of the time which shows they sure have no problem gaining points.

Regarding the AA vehicle on canals, I thought they were never gonna nerf it, but I just read over the recent pc patch notes and it does state that AA weapons were going to deal less damage to infantry and armored vehicles. AA vehicles will also take more damage from rpg and tank shells. I'm excited about this. There should be no reason why I should be able to singlehandedly defend a and b on rush and go 30-0 in the process. Boats blew up in seconds trying to cross the water. Same goes for the littlebirds and transport choppers. The amtrac took a while, but it still couldn't get out of he water without getting disabled. Absolutely no threat for me to worry about in canals rush defense.

I'm the resident support guy

LOVE that class, really fits my 'helper' style of play. I don't mind leaving the majority of the killin to assault and engineers. As long as I'm around, they will be well supplied to keep pouring it on.

I unlocked everything in support, and have recently started playing a bit more engineer on the vehicle intensive maps (Kharg and Firestorm especially) so I can take the fight to the tanks. But support is my favorite and it's the class I'm best at.

A few good games last night Lt. Dan. I enjoyed it. I certainly love getting those ammo crates. LOL. I pretty much exclusively play assault, and I'll switch over to engineer if there is a particuarly pesky vehicle that keeps killing me or holding down an objective.

I'm pretty exicted for the new maps actually. When do they come out for Xbox? Tomorrow, the 13th?

i dont know i honestly can do without the vehicles and then if i'm at one flag then i have to run around for 3 mins to find another vehicle if theres none around to get to the next flag?

I dont like those open maps but i actually like the ones like metro and seine crossing where you really dont need them all that much.

I hate the ones you are FORCED to use them....

I'll only play Conquest on non vehicle maps..***sh just sucks all around but TDM is where the most Gun On Gun action is at

Then I see an "enemy jeep moving into our AO". I start shooting at the driver as he's coming directly towards us. Then I see him hop out as he's driving full speed at us. So this left the jeep speeding towards me. He was far enough that I was able to react and move out of the way.

Then out of nowhere...BOOM!!! Crossbones for me and my squad.

Dude had put C4 in the jeep and blew it up after he launched it at us.

I wasn't even mad. Lol

I have tried that a few times to blow up tanks but just end up blowing up myself. its funny though, a tank should be something to fear, I look at it as a easy kill.

Good times, Koolie! Good thing you quit Metro when you did. Tehran and Kharg were great, then Damavand..ugggh. LOL At least at Damavand I smashed that dude in between our Hummer and the wall...quite satisfying, but a losing round anyway.

Yep, maps tomorrow!

I happened just once to me when we were all on the Sharqi Peninsula map. Im glad to see that i wasnt the only this happened to.

Ruh roh. I hope they get that ironed out quickly. Wonder if it's just a server overload issue because of the traffic for the new maps.

It happened to our whole squad. I knew something was up when everyone happened to "quit" at the same time. At least the ones in my squad. I was left all alone for awhile

So, me and my squadmate both have had a lot of problems with suicide. They aren't real suicides though. For example, I'll be sprinting and all of a sudden catapult across the map and land and die instantly, or I'll be laying down and will just instantly die, and it says "Bad Luck", yet there were no explosive or any objects near me that could have blown up or collapsed on top of me. The same things happen to him. It seems I have at least 2 "suicides" a match like that and so does he.

Anyone else experienced that?
