    Re: Battlefield 3

I also been having the sound cut out on me every now and then since the game came out.

Sorry, but I had to call it quits tonight after a couple of games. Any board where there were air vehicles, we stood no chance at all. The other team had a couple of Blue Angles pilots. Everytime I ran in the open or try and get in a tank I was killed by a little bird. You know you are an expert when you can constantly take out tanks in a jet. Those guys took over the game with jets and helicopters.

The final straw came when I was killed by a jet, then in the kill cam I watched him shoot some missiles, do a backflip so that he is now flying in the opposite direction but the top of the jet is facing the ground, then do a half barrel roll so that he is now back upright, then shoot some more missiles. And it was all so fluid.

And yes I was trying to take it out with the stinger or javelin. Whichever the one is for air but I could not take any of them down. This is how it would go. I lock on then fire, they deploy the flares, I lock on immediately after I fire the first time and fire again, I get a hit marker, I look on again immediatly after I fire the second time and fire for the third time, but now his flares are ready again and he deploys the flares. That is basically how it went for about 3 rounds. And of course I would be a sitting duck while doing all this so half the time I would get shot trying to lock on.

The only good thing that came out of that was that after I hit him sometimes he would go land somewhere and that took him out the air for a lil bit.

And it didnt help that they had the equivalent of me and Mikenoob manning the tanks. Everytime I would hit there tanks with a rocket one would jump out and start repairing while the other was hammering away inside the tank. Just thank of how hard it is to take me and Mikenoob out when we both are in tanks and thats what we were up against.

Yeah that was terrible. I was able to disable one of them with the stationary AA in Kharg Island but that's it

Yeah I've had the sound cutting out once in a while since the game has been released.

I'm aiming for 600spm, currently at 540 and steadily rising!

It was a challenge getting ammo to you! Every time I kept dropping it you ran away, lol.

This reminds me of something, when I'm asking for a health pack (I don't use one as assault because I think a grenade launcher is far more helpful) I usually crouch in cover as to not get hit. Then I see an assault guy drop a heath pack right in the middle of the crossfire--where I was just shot--and I'm just like

Lol nahh my plays are nowhere near as exciting as those ones on YouTube like the "RendeZook" or "007"

My games are either I'm dominating in a T90/M1 Abrams or I'm just going on a kill spree on foot, mostly flanking the other team. I will usually win up close 1v1 or 1v2 confrontations too.

BTW, tips for gunners in a MBT, if you have the citv unlocked, switch seats often to laser designate air vehicles for the driver. After he has fired, get back to business in the other seat. It's very effective if the tank can be destroying ground vehicles along with aerial ones too. When it's a tank vs tank battle, hop out and start repairing to keep the tank alive. Shoot a rocket at the opposing tank too. No sense to just sit in the gunner seat watching things unfold.

Wow, I find the health pack significantly more useful. Not only does it give you the ability to regenerate health within seconds (waiting means you're not affecting the battle and running back out with weakened health puts you at a huge disadvantage) but you can provide health buffs to teammates who are in firefights. I know you can also revive them but means you're not shooting and with the buff you can kind of be in two places at once. The grenades are kind of... crap... but smoke is great and underused.

Here's how I think: If my teammate gets shot, giving him a healthpack doesn't help kill the guy that shot him, while the grenade launcher does, and if my teammate goes down I can revive him

I would agree with comfortablylomb about the health packs. I could just set one at my feet, pop out around te corner and shoot anyone I see. If I'm getting shot at I get back into cover and wait a few seconds to patch up. I would pop out again with full health and the enemy would still be at whatever he was left at, easy kill. You can keep constant fire with medkits opposed to the m320 especially when you're left with about 10% health.

Also to add onto that, if you are shooting an enemy and he gets back into cover, use that off time to move up to a different area for cover. He wouldn't know you had moved and you would have a jump on him and the simple fact you just advanced and pushed forward into new territory. I see this happen too much on grand bazaar. The whole team sitting back at the end of the long hallway when they should be slowly moving up to gain b.
