Maybe if I go prone and actually place the pads INSIDE of him...

    Lol
I do the same damn thing...I think maybe he is out of my revive range, but no, it still doesn't work. Then I get angry cause I get shot after 10 seconds of standing out in the open trying to save tickets.

It got to the point where even if I was engineer, I wouldn't even take a shot because I knew Paperboy was going to hop out of the shadows and take the tank down in a matter of seconds. lol

Yesterday, we were in different squads. So I would spot a tank, then take cover. Then I would see a little blue arrow moving swiftly towards the tank, and shortly after, the tank symbol would disappear. I'd think to myself, "Must be Paperboy." And sure enough, everytime, it was. lol

My roommate was watching the last two times I was playing and witnessing the same thing I was. He was like "Does Paperboy have a cloak equipped? 'TMagic' you need to hurry up and unlock that cloak man."
I try and do this but somehow the tank always sees me at the last minute. I'll run out from behind cover but I assume someone else from their team spots me. When I actually do get the C4 planted, I always blow it up too soon and end up killing myself because I'm not out of range yet haha. When running away I'm always so concerned the tank will spot me and kill me I prematurely detonate. It's a real problem.

That is exactly what happens to me. Glad I'm not the only one.

We should start a support group for support. LOL

Premature Detonators Anonymous! Come join us as we talk about what may cause our Premature Detonations. We will give you strategies and tools to help you calm yourself and avoid that "sensory overload" when you are thinking about that oh so sweet feeling of explosion. Some patented techniques we have include thinking about baseball as you begin running from the tank, remember this is not your first time feeling an explosion and let the destruction come naturally. We can also suggest placing "protective plastic devices" over your joysticks to lessen the sensitivity, therefore preventing premature detonations. Also, possibly taking some numbing medications before you game will lead to a decrease in the sensitivity of your thumbs which can in turn prevent the premat detonation. And obviously there is counseling and therapy sessions that can help you with this all too common problem. Listen to some testimonials.

"I used to prematurely detonate all the time, but after joining this support group it only happens a couple of times a session. It has really allowed me to focus more helping my team by saving tickets and less on the cleanup and carnage of messy premature detonations. --Lt. Dan

"I too had a problem with early release of my explosive loads...that is until I joined Premature Detonators anonymous. Using their methods I am now able to detonate after I am out of range and give me and my other squad mates great satisfaction. We love to detonate at the same time creating a huge explosion and we enjoy the climax together. After all BF3 is a team game and if your partner is not satisfied, you shouldn't be either. Thank you PDA for all your help." --jwilphl

Has anyone else prematurely detonated on purpose? Because I've done that once or twice...

Due to lack of cover around some MCOMs, I've coated the MCOM in C4 and then been too close to it when it goes off, just because there's no where for me to hide and I like to blast them just as they are starting the arming process. I feel that if I wait to hear the siren I'll miss them by the time I switch to my detonator and blow the C4.

I did that once during the most intense conquest match, on Metro, that I've ever been involved in. It was once again, a major battle for B. We had possession of it but the other team kept showing up quickly and neutralizing it. This happened for at least 5 minutes. I finally realized what was going on during the kill cam. THey had placed two beacons by the elevators and kept spawning ther. So I took it upon myself to destroy thebeacons. So I took cover on the opposite side and then ran around there. I found myself surrounded by, at least, 9 enemies. Funny thing is they were all reloading. I threw a C4 at the beacons and said my prayers and detonated. Awesome thing is that I took 8 of those guys with me. Then I got all kinds of hate messages.

I've only gotten one, maybe two total hate messages from BF3. Is it...common?

I haven't got any hate messaged, but I did get cussed by a little kid in co op.

I've been playing a game on Tehran Highway and our entire team was pinned down. I dropped off the ledge onto the road and avoided sniper fire and flanked around behind the enemy and started dropping C4 all around the ground. and about the time I dropped the third one, someone spotted me and instead of shooting I took off the other direction and pressed the button out of desperation. I killed myself, but took out four at once..

Looking back at it, I don't know why I didn't just kill them all when I had the chance... the battlefield in me would have rather seen everyone get blown sky high

I watched that whole scene from a tank. And he had the entire street covered in mines. When that happened I was like, "Dang I know he mad." It was one of the many lol moments I had playing tonight.

When everyone lost connection took that as the PS3 telling me I need a break.

If it makes anyone feel any better I got the same guy doing the same thing the second time around lol. C_Morris kinda stopped and looked back in a "You happy now?" kinda way
