LOL, no worries! The game is extremely fun considering how much you can actually die during the course of a game!

Even with as much as I die in BF3, it's all good. I have an occasional WTF?? death, but mostly those come from 'bad luck'. It's kinda funny to me to get road-killed, crushed in a crumbling building, and the shootouts seem pretty fair to me. No real lag issues ala COD. I hate that damn auto-shotgun like you guys do, but it's not a game-killer. I still don't die as often as I do in COD games anyway.

Tmagic was lighting it up with that shotgun on Metro, lol. I actually brought it out a couple times when I got pissed. That gun is way over the top!

One place where shottys are fun is in Team Deathmatch I had some great rounds in TDM with the DAO-12.

I'm just going on record to declare this game is so damn FUN and addictive that it's worth owning on two systems. Never thought I'd say that about any game, especially one that I play online (I'm not usually given to online play much).

The PS3 version might look and sound just a teensy bit better, but I have that HDMI'd to my Samsung and the 360 is component video at 1080i. It's like splitting hairs, but PS3 just by a tiny bit. But I do prefer the 360 controller hands down.

Also, I'm happy because I've got my M249 and support class equipped out like my 360 game so, yay! Even got my mortars last night.

I don't have the Karkand maps for PS3, but I'm not sure about having to buy them as I don't necessarily like those maps quite as much. I'll probably cave anyway so I don't hold back the guys I play with from those maps.

Great times with BF3. Best MP FPS I've played.

I've never been into shooters because I always seemed to get motion sickness after playing for 15 min or so. My fiancee purchased Battlefield 3 for me because she was tired of me drooling over it and MW4. Two things:

1. Can I enjoy this game without being much for online play?

2. What can I do to help with the motion sickness? I don't want to return this game!

This just shouldn't happen (same has to be true for the similar 'cheap win' though) and I hope they do something to prevent you from coming in on the end screen and taking the win or loss without actually playing for it.

IMO, frag rounds for shottys can just be removed from the game.

I started to adopt the philosophy "if you can't beat 'em,join' em". I know that isn't the solution,but if I'm killed over and over from that garbage,I give them a taste of their own medicine.

It actually happened last night on Seine crossing rush,this clown killed me several times with the USAS with frag rounds,so I said OK,you wanna play that game?? So out came my setup with the same gun and frags,and mopped his *** up to the point of him changing guns.

Besides the frag rounds,my irritation has started to become these idiots that have a scope on their shotguns sniping across the map.

1. BF3 does have a single player campaign. It's pretty good, but brief. The beef in this game is the multiplayer. I don't care for MP much either in general, but in this game it's amazing. Always better to play with friends if possible, but I've had MANY great games just jumping in with randoms. I get MUCH less stressed and annoyed with people in this game as compared to COD games.

2. Ehhhh....that's a tough one. Halo had that effect on me, and any FPS on PC can get to me too. But so far BF3 has been no problem. Dramamine is available over the counter for motion sickness and works great, but you may find BF3's movement doesn't bother you?

That isn't even fun though. I unlocked the frag rounds awhile ago to give it a try. Game was too easy... I used it for a couple of matches and went around 30kills while staying under 5 deaths... Decided to just abandon it as I didn't need some cheap weapon to get me my stats.

Also, I don't mind the frags as much if a few people use them. It's a whole different ball game if literally everyone in the server is. You just hear that loud thud left and right while seeing the kill list filled with USAS

SP campaign is still several hours long, but it's right around six or seven I think. The MP is where the depth is, and it plays differently than the SP does. I'd give the MP a good look in both Rush mode and Conquest mode to make up your mind about it. And also try each class out to see which best fits your style.

Remember, BF3 MP is about the team, and score. It's on a larger scale than COD and can seem a little "WTF am I supposed to be doing??" when you first start out. Follow some experienced players around. I'll also trot this video out for you to view to help you get started. It's for BF: BC2 but most about it still all applies to BF3.
