You should rarely be killed by C4. If you are you're going in too close too often.

Question for you guys... proximity scan or reactive armor?

I use armor/thermal/guided most of the time but I think I fall victim to C4 twice as much as I get killed by anything else while in a tank. Proximity scan would change that, but I would lose the armor.

So what do you guys think?

As Comfortablylomb stated, you shouldn't be killed by C4 often, you really don't need the proximity scan or reactive armor. It may be helpful if you don't have a decent squadmate in the tank with you. I roll with autoloader/zoom optics/guided. That setup allows me to pick off players from a distance and shoot off missiles as quickly as possible.

Also, if you're gunning for someone in a MBT, swap seats to the laser designator often to help destroy other vehicles. When the driver decides to cap a flag, don't sit in the gunner seat and look around. Hop out and look around every nook and cranny. This will also help keep the MBT alive if someone is possibly around with a C4. They are less likely to still run up and plant the C4's if they see you running around near the tank. The driver will be warned about a threat if you happened to have died. On the other hand, if you had never jumped out. That very same guy could have easily ran up and blew up you and the tank. Take that risk of your very own life to possibly save the MBT.

Another thing, if someone is hiding behind a rock just blasting RPG's and the tank driver clearly cannot kill him. Do not just stay in the gunner seat and try shooting him from there. It's much better to jump out yourself, get behind that rock and kill him. He would not suspect you coming either so you shouldn't be at risk of dying.

What kind of exhaust you got on that thing ? I never even heard or saw you coming..

I had fun running with you guys. Most of the COA guys play the objective pretty well. When we got on Caspian Border, I opened up flying the chopper for one of their guys and we were destroying tanks,choppers, and jets left and right..

When Tmagic got in one with me, I made a stupid move that eventually got the chopper blown up + I had some random lag.. again, I'll be glad when my new isp is here.

I think we showed those COA guys up on Tehran Highway...

LOL, you guys were all about Rush last night. So got some work in there...was bummed I couldn't squad up with you but you guys were doing fine and I got to tank with Jnes a couple of times. JNes, I will ALWAYS default to your driving when we hop in a tank. I'm pretty good, you're great and I like manning the .50 better anyway LOL.

BTW, I changed my 360 GT back to my original to match up across both platforms again: LieutenantDan67 on both PS3 and 360.

i dont kno9w man rush and conquest for some reason i cant get into these modes as much....just very little people not in a vehicle or camping **** just gets stale to me ....i spend 5 minutes actually looking for someone to kill and then boom i die from a camper and then repeat....i think i'll stick with TDM...those other modes are just to slow and i'm not really a fan a vehicles.

But to piggyback on what LTD said j ness is a beast at driving the tanks i agree

I've had plenty of rounds, where I got a bunch of kills in CQ and RUSH.

There are some times where it can be slow, depending on the other team, but for the most part, things are usually booming for me.

I should be on later tonight after the playoffs.

On smaller maps i like rolling proximity/thermal or zoom/canister. Proximity helps the entire team see enemy positions.
