I'm on a mission to unlock the rest of the runs. I need to do 3 assignments, get like 72,000 CO-OP points, and get some engineer points

Fellas, if you were primarily a COD player-how long did it take you to adjust to the weapons, maps, and game modes?

Is there a multiplayer mode similar to Hard core Search and Destroy?

How are the developers still supporting the game?

The only question I can answer is I believe that Rush is kinda like Search and Destroy.

Main difference being there are 6 objectives you have to destroy and you can respawn after each death, so you have more than one life.

There's just as much, if not more gun battling going on, but generally speaking, it's a little more strategic and thought out, because you're usually working to capture some sort of objective. The hardest part most usually have, is adjusting to the vehicles. Of course it's going to take time to learn how to operate them, but the issue is usually reacting to them on the map and how they can win or lose a game for a team, if used properly..

The closest thing to S&D is Rush, where you have an offense and defense attacking/defending a set of MCOM stations. You have to blow both stations, but after a death, you can still respawn (unlike Hardcore S&D in COD). Hardcore mode just takes off spot assist and effects damage..

The developers are actually doing a phenomenal job. The servers are great (they're dedicated anyways) and they're about to release another major patch to address some bugs. We've all ready got one map expansion pack and I'm sure there will be more coming soon.

edit: There's several PS3 and 360 OS guys on here, so the team work that's basically required to play this game, won't be hard to find.

I have read through page after page. I'm aware this game has a learning curve, but if I don't give up I will get the hang of it. Will pick it up today during my lunch for the xbox 360.

My gaming schedule is usually from 9-10:30 pm est. time during the week. If your interested on making my transition a little better, please let me know if I can add you to my friends list. PM or leave a message for me here.

Thanks guys looking forward to a change.

Another COD to BF series pieces of advice...don't knife to kill at close range. You will die.

Only use the knife if you are sneaking up on someone. If you run out of ammo during a 1v1 gun fight, don't charge and knife. Switch to your side arm and finish off you opponent.

You have to get familiar to the bullet drop at medium to long range, but it won't hamper you too much.

The bigger maps will most likely be the biggest challenge for you.

The learning curve is really not that steep. It's just a different play style.

This is for the previous iteration of the game and please don't take it the wrong way thinking that I'm calling you a noob, but this video gives you the run down on the basic fundamentals switching to the Battlefield games.

As a beginner to the Battlefield series, this was invaluable to me.

*Keep in mind some of the classes have changed for Battlefield 3 from BFBC2
