It was a lot of fun tonight. I really like the patch. Tanks are still deadly in the right hands, mikenoob, especially with engineers. (I was amazed by one of your long shots on Karkland.) Tanks in the hands of regular players that dont move and drive right into a kill zone stand no chance. IMO it levels the playing field. Tanks cant just bull rush onto an objective anymore. But you still need teamwork to take it down.

The gun play is crazier. Im still adjusting to the recoil, and taking off the foregrip really help. I was running the M26 Mass attachment alot. I had to bring down my sensitivity as I almost always over aiming for a while there. I still need to adjust to the M27 IAR (my favorite). The first burst really kicks vertically now.

Overall I really like the patch. I like the new mini-map and the better icons over people heads now too. Everything seems much crisper.

The game feels a lot more balanced, and tank whores who aren't skilled cant stay up long enough to drop anyone but playing against someone like mikenoob and watching how Chizzy Jnes Lomb showed that in the right hands these tanks are still effective.

It felt like whenever a tank rolled on me he feared me more than I him...one close range SMAWTHER take like 55% off his health, when before all you could do is fire one round hold your breath and pray for back up engineers to help you take it down and that javelin with a painted target is just love.

Had a ball playing with you guys last night...I've had a change of heart. I kinda like playing on the mixed servers. It wasnt bad playing a variety of modes. I just hate it when i end up spending 30 - 40 mins on a map for like 10 kills and then end up playing the same exact map all over again for another 40 mins and the same mode. Thats when i tend to get bored.

Ayways it was like me , Flight and the guy Zepplin against a team full of OSers last night getting raped but score wise i think we held our own we just were outnumbered in most matches and had a bunch of randoms on our team who didnt do much at all. We got simply destroyed in that Conquest map one Crossing. We could only get the one flag and that didnt last too long.

I'm hearing it's imbalanced and overpowered, but then again I use it all the time and tend to disagree.

I noticed they finally put in a leaderboard

EDIT: Talking to my buddies now, apparently "amateur" tank operators are gonna have a tough time with this new patch. If you can't keep moving, aim and kill quick, you're out. One maybe two javelins are needed to take a tank out. Also, one guided missile from a chopper takes you out too. Jet can also make one clean sweep and disable a tank with just the guns. Wow, this sounds rough for tank users.

Hmm....thanks. When I drive, I'll try to drive them more like a sports car and less like a Lincoln.

Also, for all you LMG users, post patch suppression actually hampers the ability to return fire. Definitely have to hit the floor or move to different cover. Can't see a damn thing.

Any tips for when moving around these maps?

They're so big, I seem to get shot all the time.

Most importantly, move cover to cover to advance. And try to stick with teammates.

Okay, so I'm not crazy... the guns do have increased vertical recoil. I thought it was two week layoff but I guess it wasn't just me in thinking there was more kick. That's just with the grip? Essentially I'm going to want to ditch the grip on anything but SMGs since it's more of a hip-fire aid now?

I noticed it was harder to do the repair and duel thing in tanks. Having an engineer behind a tank making repairs will buy time but it doesn't make them as seemingly invulnerable as they were in the past. The dopes who use a tank like a battering ram though the opposition's front line are going to get killed a lot. That's good news.

Having servers with both Rush and Conquest I can understand. Adding TDM to that mix is a mistake. That game mode is a circus sideshow in the first place. When we got stuck doing one round of it last night, okay, but I was relatively pissed at wasting 10 mins of game time during the second consecutive go.

The recoil picked up after the patch so went with iron sights last night and was back to good ol' form again.
