So I noticed that on PC most maps have a hell of a lot more capture points.

Now I know this is because of the size of the servers and PC's overall gaming prowess.

But anybody else think it would be a nice addition if they gave maps these alternate capture points on CQ? So instead of A, B, C always being the same on consoles, they varied it so that A, B, C were different objectives on the same map.

It doesnt seem like it would be that difficult of a thing to do because, as I mentioned earlier, they already have these alternate objectives set up on PC. I think it would go a long way in making the old maps feel a little new.

Thoughts?

The console needs more players on some of their maps (Caspian, Khargh, Firestorm). Sometimes those matches are a lot of fun, with the right two teams facing off, but it's rare. I think that's why it's hard to keep a sever full if you don't have Metro, Bazaar, and Siene in the rotation.

I think the actual glitch is fixed, but we still don't have our stats back, which is probably what is coming next week

this game seems like it's best days are behind kinda.

There's NEVER anybody on these days on certain maps. Mainly the 1st expansion pack with Karkand, Oman, etc.

Oman is the only one that's consistent with multiple ppl playing it. It doesnt seem like a ton of ppl bought the expansion pack and obviously those with the limited edition got it free.

As much as I want to buy the next pack with close quarters combat, I'm afraid it'll be a waste of money b/c they might be a flop.

I think the biggest issue with people not playing Oman is simply the fact that it freezes 99% of the time on the end game report. Every time that map comes up, that's when the server starts getting deserted. Nobody wants to risk a freeze and having to restart your playstation, when you can simply leave the game and find another match within a minute.

Also, the majority of the players enjoy the infantry maps such as Bazaar/Metro/Seine, so you'll find most of the servers have a rotation similar to that. Considering the fact that the upcoming DLC is close quarters, it'll suit the infantry players very well. I fully expect a ton of servers running just those maps. The downside to the upcoming DLC is it's restricted to just 8v8. It won't mix well with the original maps in a rotation for that reason.

Yeah, I think there is absolutely no chance Battlefield 3 flops. And I think its best days are ahead of it with Close Quarters, Armored Kill, End Game, and that other one, plus Battlefield Premium.
