That is why I have no interest in the dlc and would be a waste of money for me. I was watching some of the vids posted and was bored after a few minutes. It just looks mindless and very repetitive like rats running through a maze rinse and repeat. I think Dice should have given people the option to buy things individually as I have no interest in close quarters or armored kill.

Re: Battlefield 3
I think the maps are slightly bigger than they advertised, 8v8 makes it a bore-fest, they need to make it a full 24 players. I can understand limiting it for PC bc 64 would be ridiculous(but chaotically fun im sure) but 16 ppl for console is just stupid and slow paced.
These maps were introduced more as a means to satisfy the "infantry only" players, I think. There really are not many maps providing the experience without vehicles of some sort (Operation Metro is the only one I can think of off the top of my head).
I generally would have preferred if they made all the maps similar to Op Metro. In that vein, make the maps large enough but still not require vehicles. At least then you could still do Rush on the maps (and have full 24 player games so they could be mixed up with the other maps).Comment

You do have that option. Don't buy premuim and just purchase the DLC maps you want. You just won't get them early.Comment

Re: Battlefield 3
I just watched a video of some Gun Master gameplay and the guy got knifed and it said "You Have Been Demoted". So I guess it is like Black Ops' gun game.
FWIW, I actually liked that mode in Black Ops as a break from the regular online multiplayer. I probably won't play it a lot, but I'm glad there are alternative games on the new DLC.PSN: Koolie_G

So playing yesterday I realize that whoever said that you cant stack perks, forget who it was, was right. Kind of.
It doesnt work like it used to where a teammates perk would stay with you even if he left the tank or even died. Now the teammate has to be in the tank at all times for you to utilize his perk. So once he leaves the tank, you lose the perk. Realized it playing with Marino when I had on Reactive and he had proximity. He hopped out to go after a guy hiding around a corner and the guy disappeared from the mini map so Marino lost him and got killed. Lol
We were clobbering that round. Funny thing is we joined that round late and still managed to finish MVP 1 and 2.
Then there was another round we played earlier in the day where we were clobbering as well on Caspian. Then I think you got disconnected.
That mess was so funny. We'd swing around to where a flag was being taken and we'd find you in a corner being motionless. You wouldnt run or anything. Either you just accepted your fate or you thought you thought we were a TRex in that as long as you didnt move, we wouldnt see you.
Then after we killed you a few times, I see a "f*** you" message pop up in the corner of the screen. Had me cracking up.Comment

Re: Battlefield 3
I agree. I understand they did not want to crowd the maps, but there is definitely enough space for 24 players on these maps. There is a good bit of down time running between objectives. The one round of gun master I played, there was a point I ran around for five minutes and did not see any enemies.
I also agree here. I was "satisfied" with playing on the new maps after a very brief time, and I actually wanted to go back and get to the old maps. It is a nice change of pace every once in a while, but this will not be a steady part of my rotation.

Cant imagine only 8vs 8 too and as far as running between objectives is anotther thing i hate about the main modes in this game.
The original TDM maps were perfect size imo...Not to big and not too smallSLIDERS SUCKComment

And somehow your *** kept surviving my shells. Now granted I'm not the best shot. But every time I found you, you werent moving. So I'd aim the turret right at you and fire, only to see your life bar drop to a pixel and then Marino would finish you off.

Re: Battlefield 3
Played CQ last night with JNES, Jwil, Chizzy and more OS heads and got flashbacks of playing Black Ops.
We'll probably need more time with the maps to figure out strategy, specifically holding some flags. On Donya Fortress, the flag that is on the balcony (forget which letter) can definitely be held because it seems there are only two approaches to it.
Some of the other flags, like the one in Donya in the middle of a wide open two story room will be impossible to hold down, especially with only 8 players.
I agree with others in that after about 45 minutes I found myself wanting to go back to the other maps that have some strategy in it. Hell, later in the night, I actually enjoyed getting spawn trapped in Metro (US side) against Chizzy and Jnes. I was practicing picking and popping from range and took those two down a couple of times. Sorry boys.
That's not to say that I won't play the CQ maps but as someone else said earlier, they won't be part of my regular rotation.
I really enjoy working maps as a team and the quick thinking that it requires. Trying to out think the other team, flanking, back raging, spawn bombing, and the strategic use of vehicles is why I've played BF.
I can't blame EA / Dice for trying to tap into the COD fanbase, strategically it was probably a good time considering that Modern Warfare didn't do as well as some people thought it would.
All that being said, I'll be on your server 2nite Jnes getting some CQ in.ll0ll0Comment
