Re: Battlefield 3
I still have a lot of fun with the game, especially because it is a team thing.
Often when I'm on with other OSers, were are always the Ace squad in a match or if there is enough of us, another squad of OSers will be the Aces.
I also think I have a lot of room to still improve in my BF3 game.Last edited by thecove; 07-24-2012, 05:42 PM.ll0ll0Comment

Re: Battlefield 3
I'm having so much fun with this game. There is so much incentive to play with the amount of unlocking there is to do.
Can't wait for armored kill.Comment

Re: Battlefield 3
Man, I just got drilled last night -- I hate people who don't play with mics and do their own thing!
My squad actually used communication and teamwork but since the rest of our platoon wanted to do whatever we got trapped in our spawn point in Operation Metro by a clan who just camped the kill zones.
Last night was a one and done for me -- that game frustrated me to the max!
But, how is premium? Worth getting?#WashedGamerComment

Re: Battlefield 3
I find it still entertaining and will continue to play, just going to get a new PC sometimes after AK drops. Then I'll be all set for the rest of the DLCs and so on and so forth up until BF4. I've just been playing with an objective to for the match/matches and play ways I don't usually play or with weapons I haven't used in a while or at all.PSN: TBD

I recently starting playing again but only the close quarters maps. I got really frustrated with the game for a while and just put it down for months. CQ is a fun mindless distraction but bad map layout and AWFUL respawns limit its fun. There is no real teamwork to be had. I feel like a chicken running around with my head cut off. Lack of choke points also hurt. Neither team can defend or make coordinated pushes because each flag in domination has at least five ways to capture it. Last night I respawned 11 times in a row with an enemy less than foot behind me. Needless to say it sucked.Comment

I still have a lot of fun playing.
Been working on getting a service star with every gun which has been keeping things interesting as you REALLY have to switch up how you play depending on the gun as they handle so differently.
Also going with a class you typically dont use on certain maps (an engineer on Metro, Assault on Caspian, etc) helps to keep it fresh.
Trolling is another way I like to keep it fun. Nothing better than running up to a guy and c4ing or repair tooling him. Me and DBoys were running around trying to get nothing but c4 kills one night, even coming up with a plan of attack (Figure 8, figure 8!) I just imagine how guys react after seeing my name and what I killed them with. Lol
Got to work on some new taunts too. T-Bagging is so mainstream.Comment

Re: Battlefield 3
Speaking of ways to keep it fresh, last night chizzy and I were helping donnie with his assignments and played a few round of Squad Deathmatch. And I actually had a lot of fun with the mode.
It really takes as much teamwork, if not more to win those matches. And your squad has to stick together and move as a pack. We had a random with us last night but he knew the drill, sticking with us and listening to us talk.
Normal deathmatch is more run n gun but in squad deathmatch, we were flanking, rezzing, and coordinating our attacks with as much strategy as CQ or Rush. We would fire some shots at another squad and keep them busy while one or two of us would flank around and get the kills.
At one point, it felt like all the other squads were coming after us because we were moving around so well.
I did have trouble on the CQ maps because I'm not familiar with them and there are just far too many angles to cover.
But overall, I had a really good time playing a different mode.ll0ll0Comment

Re: Battlefield 3
Squad Death Match worked pretty well on the CQ maps. I was surprised that those maps were on the rotation.Comment

Re: Battlefield 3
They need to take a page out of Modern Warfares book and introduce lone wolf servers.I just get so sick of these unbalanced servers. I love competition but when one team dominates the game loses its luster.
That being said, I am going for all the assignments and I do hate that Sub Machinegun one, those guns are just so bad! I am rolling with a MP7 and it's ok but there are so many better options, I just don't see the point of them...My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

Re: Battlefield 3
SMG's are perfect for the recon guys who wants to get up close. The only sub machine guns that I like are P90 and PP-19. I can't use the MP7 at all although I see many use it. If anything the recon assignments are the worst. Do I really have to get 100 kills with the L96 after having to get 50 kills and 25 headshots for the first assignment?Comment
