I have a question wonder if anyone else has noticed this.

Flares not working as good since patch??

I can be in a chopper or jet and get locked on, deploy flares moment I hear launch beep in plenty enough time yet every now and then the missile will still make contact.

We were talking about this over the mics couple nights ago because it happened several times. It also was not a chopper launching the second missile delayed after the flares. So I am wondering if there is now a random chance the missile won't take the flare bait?

They are bad now, especially in the chopper. You almost have to anticipate when they are going to shoot their missiles and deploy your flares before they fire. Then the sound cut off is so bad you sometimes don't even hear the tracking beeps all you hear is the missile tone. The closer they are to you the worse it seems.

Also the lock on time seems to be extended past visual range. In a jet I can fly under a heli and as I pass them thinking that I broke the lock I hear the lock tone. A split second later I hear the missile launch warning and if I didn't anticipate it I'm disabled or dead.

You talking about the air to ground missile correct?

If so I just had to take it off because it is a waste of a spot, every tank runs smoke basically so unless you can lock a jeep here or there you are basically wasting your launches at tanks.

I used to use it all the time. Lock on, Fire, Disable. Quickly turn around for another pass and finish with guns. Now it's like got a lock, target hit.. Wait, they are not even smoking. Not sure what's up with it.

Rocket Pod's are useless as well. Unless your smashing a building to hell, they are pretty weak.

I've shot someone close range with the GL, but only because I had to. I'm sure I have done it to someone on OS. I had it out and someone turned the corner on me. I had no choice but to fire... not switching weapons and dying

Guided Missiles are extremely useful in Rush Jets. Use it to spot the guys below you, once you turn around again, it's easy kills. The Conquest jets aren't as strong, so it wouldn't really work.

If you've seen that youtube video of that guy calling Jac a bot, that is how Jac was finding/killing him.

I find it funny how they are apparently famous but I've never heard of them. Then again, I'm not part of the clan scene. I have my own clan, or group of friends really, but I wouldn't go entering tournaments and all that stuff.

If people have heard of three guys who are part of a tiny clan called 94th then cool, but it really doesn't bother me..

And another reason I love OS so much, is because it is so much more civilised than most other forums. Just read through that whole thread on Battlelog, someone needs to knock them of their high horse.

I'd be drooling if I ever saw this.

Seriously, why are so many people firing in one direction? I know when we have a lot of our guys together and I see three or four of our guys firing in one direction, I look and move in another direction and cover our flanks.

This almost seems set up to me..

Is there some sort of trick to heat seeking missles with the airplane or are they completely useless? I can't seem to hit anyone with them no matter how long I stay locked in.

Fire one at a time.

Fire one and let them flare or ecm. Stay locked onto him and count to three. Fire the second one. After that your first heat seeker should have reloaded. Just keep on firing.

Finally rolled out the AN last night and went nuts with it..

Got in a few rounds with ND, BD, toxic, and pureskall.. this game is still addicting. I'm to the point now where I prefer to play Rush again.

I've started playing again. I've noticed in random games - absolutely nobody on my squad talks, ever. If you guys want to add me, my XBL Gamertag is Zatol. I've got all the DLC, but I'm not premium. In the server browser, some of the servers have an error stating I do not have all of the DLC... any idea what that's all about? There's only two, that I'm aware of, and I have both of them.

Well it is 64 guys rather than 24. You said you see 3 or 4 guys doing that on a 24 man server. 64 players now, 10 sounds about right.
