I'm a casual hockey fan but I am hooked on the NHL series. It is such a blast to play. Same thing with FIFA. I really don't like watching soccer (I do appreciate the athleticism in the sport and the dedication of the players) but FIFA is really fun.

NCAA came out HUGE this year. After how bad the series was on this generation, EA really hit a home run with 11. Madden, like you said Phobia, is so-so. I think maybe people were expecting another "big" jump like from 09-10 and when that didn't happen and the defense was toned down, people got upset.

Yea DJ, and Fight Night Rd 4 was pretty good and EA MMA is looking pretty decent so far.

I think EA gets a worse rap than they should. I can understand the 06-08 years. But since 09-10 they have really made a great effort improving their sports franchises. One of the few companies I trust every year will have some solid titles.

Hell it is not a sports title but Dead Space was AMAZING!!!!

I agree, I love Dead Space. Everything about that game sucked me in. It has one of the best stories for a game this Generation, This is one game that is absolutely ripe for a movie.

For me, almost every game this year was a flop. The only games that held my interest beyond a week were, BC2, the show, and RDR.

The biggest flop of the year imo is Madden 11.

I'll cosign you that M11 is a flop. Madden 11 was good this year. But considering that a huge portion of the development was spent on Gameflow and several other modes that actually affect re-playability were basically untouched. Hardcore fans felt "ehhh" about it. The game is of course still selling but nobody is feverished for it like past iterations.

But for all intensive purposes, UFC 10 was the flop of the year. I bought the game like an idiot and while I play it, it's definitely a step back. The only redeeming thing about the game is the roster. That's IT! Today, I'm trading it with a friend who just came back in town from offshore for FIFA 2010. He's excited about it, hahahaha, he's gonna be pissed.

I know Cuse, I want a movie made after it so bad. I did watch the animated show "Downfall" on netflix couple nights ago. Not bad but nothing amazing. it is pretty much a prequel of the game.

I honestly think Madden 11 was a hold over to a major over haul of the madden franchise for Madden 12. Now this is just my personally opinion. But I honestly think we will see some bigger changes coming for Madden 12.


You are right about UFC 10. I have most major releases the last few years and just about every single sports title in the last 5 years. UFC 10 is the biggest flop EVER!

I think calling Madden 11 a flop is bit over the top. Sure, out of the box the game is way too heavy on the offensive side of the ball. But, with some slider tweaks, there is a very solid game of football there and I think after the patches, things will be even better.

The presentation does leave something to be desired, I will agree there.

Still, I think when all is said and done, Madden 11 is far from perfect and far from a flop. I'd say it's an above-average game with the potential to be good.

When you have to price drop a major franchise before the month is over, that has to be a flop. That's their pride and joy and had to adjust the price

THQ did the same thing for the motocross series, completely ruined it.

I loved untamed. Played it for hours with my friends, but when I rented Reflex, I was so dissapointed. Only played it for a day, after that I literally forgot I had the game at my house. Ended up turning it in 2 days late and it would have been longer if I didn't deicde to organize my dresser that day.
