I just realized that I never played Saints Row 2. Or even Saints Row 1.

I take it that most people here should say I should?

It's one of the most customizable sandbox games ever. When you add in the atmosphere, activities, and cheats, then yes you should definately play it.

Game is amazing. Fun like the old PS2 GTA's but even better. Many times I played SR1 for hours and got nothing accomplished towards beating the game.

2 entirely crushes 1 but you should still play 1 for story purposes if you're going to play 2,which you should.

I never play through games twice. I've played through SR2 three times. Coop is an absolute blast. The game looks a little dated when you first get back into it, but it's still awesome.

yeah, OSU. it's worth picking up a used copy of SR2 just to try it out. much better controls than the GTA series. Imagine a game where you just put the cross-hairs over somebody and Shoot.... Amazing right? no switching between guys like GTA. And it's worth it alone for the Insurance fraud side missions alone. Take a look:

Couldn't find the first one today, but I did buy the 2nd one today.

Holy crap is it fun! It's like the "gang" game I've always wanted. Territories, gang hits, awesome side missions, great gun play.

Saints Row 3 is definitely on my radar now.

I may pickup SR2 as it's on sale new for $14.99 at my local Futureshop. I haven't played either of the games but previews of the next game as peaked my interest. Looks like alot of fun.

Getting around the city of Steelport can be a fairly daunting task. With civilians all over the sidewalks, enemy gang vehicles driving through the streets, and some pesky policemen always there to stop your fun, it's not a simple task to just plop a vehicle down in a brand new city and have it feel right. A handful of designers here at Volition, including David Bianchi, have gone to great lengths to not only improve on what our fans enjoyed about driving in Saints Row 2, but finding new ways to keep pushing the fun, non-stop, over-the-top gameplay that our entire team has been working towards since day one of this project.

Weight

Another thing you’ll quickly notice in Saints Row: The Third is that cars have a much improved sense of weight. Collisions feel way more satisfying. Cars interact with the road like never before, leading to an experience that just fits into the game world seamlessly.

For those of you that have read thus far and are getting worried that we’ve gone away from the arcadey feel of previous games in the franchise, worry not. Our aim has always been to build upon that arcadey feel, rather than work against it. As an example, on the subject of the better sense of weight, the player’s vehicle is now a more dominant force on the road, able to plow through other cars more effectively than in past games. Realistic? Nope. Fun? You betcha.

I remember the game for me was CH 2k at Thanksgiving time

I might end up playing this one this year
