Beta testing starts in September. I dont remember what they said the ETA was.

The demo video was very uninspiring. Moved so fast between scenes that it was hard to decipher much about the machine, which was probably by design because there's not much to show.

Does anyone know of any developers who have signed on to make games for this thing?

Well techinically all of them. All the Phanotm from what I can tell really does is act like a Pay For Play PC. They give you access to all the PC games on the market plus alot of the freeway stuff (shockwave and java games). You buy time to play it or download the full game for a price. The Phantom has no disc drives so everything you play will have to be downloaded to the hard drive.

its estimated to cost anywhere from 300-1000 dollars depending on the power of the system you buy. Im gonna wait it out and see how it sells(even though it wont be sold in any gamestores) before I make any decisions.
