It looks great, but set on earth? Realism? in Ace Combat? I guess they want it to be a more western focused HAWX type game instead.

It's amazing to consider how the ps3 finally gets an Ace Combat game this late into the generation though.

I was surprised when I heard the guy mention Miami and they showed that map as well. It's going to be different that's for sure. Wonder if they'll still put in any Super weapons or if they are going to just stick with being more realistic in this one?

Either way I'm excited to get another Ace Combat. Now I just have todecide what system to get it for.

Super excited to finally get a PS3 AC game. I hope the story can still be as engaging as the other games. Some are speculating there will be helicopter missions as well.

Did AC sell out a little with this one? Looks like After Burner on speed. While I like the sensation of speed I hope it can still maintain it's sim-like feel. Hope it still has a cockpit view and works with the flight stick.

Cockpit view is still in. They said they wanted it to seem a little more intense though so expect a lot more low altitude and close range battles. I'm just hoping they haven't changed too much and made it worse.

That actually looks great, and I'm not really into simulators and stuff like that. But it's really interesting.

Is this Ace Combat series more like a simulator or more like an arcade shooter-airplane? I've never played any of them, and while not into simulators - I'd prefer something that feels more real-life than arcade.

It's very much an arcade shooter... You get TONS of ammo per level... Damage to your craft doesn't do anything to your speed or handling. AC series was all about the large numbers of aircraft that you can use, and the large amounts of enemies you take out per level.

The thing that's appealing about the series to me is the presentation and storytelling... Some are done by cutscenes, but most of the drama occurs in battle with the radio chatter. It becomes quite immersive.

I haven't seen anything official from Namco, but a few places are speculating it will be and there will be a flight stick special bundle like AC6 had. I'll be on the lookout for any news though.
