As much as I love Rockstar and Grand Theft Auto, I can't find the value there. $100.00 would make more sense to me. I know it didn't cost them much to get some of the extras made.

$60.00 game for me too.

There's no map with the manual anymore?

Could be too big fit inside the case and be easily legible.

Call me crazy, but I find more worth in paying $150 for the game alone than paying 250% the price of the game for a collector's edition, no matter its cost.

In other words, still sign me up for getting this game day one even at a $150 price tag, but I will easily say no to a $150 collector's edition for a $60 game.

Even a collectors edition of a game shouldn't cost half of what the console you play it on does.

Just how I view things. I know all about finding value in certain games. I bought Battlefield 3 and the premium content for both the 360 and PS3.

I just don't see $150 there, when the game by itself is $60.

The worst part about all this is that it's going to make our 360/ps3's non-tradable. Meaning if you planned on buying a next gen system, don't plan on selling/trading your current console to put money towards the new one. Not that that is R*s problem. Here's hoping the Ps4 is backwards compatible, unless I already missed that memo. Seems the Xbox One has confirmed no backwards compatibility.

you did. both next-gen systems don't have any BC.

Sony said you might be able to stream PS3 games to the PS4 using their Gaikai technology purchase. Doubt that will be ready at launch though.

Standard $60 edition for me. Don't need all that extra crap. The game itself will be just fine, thank you.

Sell the stuff on eBay. The last few games I bought on console I got the collector's edition and made a profit selling everything individually.

If for #1 you answer YES and for #2 you answer NO, then you're basically in agreement with my statement.

Sell the stuff on eBay. The last few games I bought on console I got the collector's edition and made a profit selling everything individually.

I think that's people's biggest concern; they aren't seeing $90 worth of stuff in the package.

Best Buy Gamers Unlocked members receive a $20 Rewards Zone certificate if you preorder Grand Theft Auto there. Something to think about for anyone planning on preordering anyway. The program only costs $15 to sign up for so you're basically joining for free because of the $20 certificate. Plus, you can take advantage of all that comes from joining for the next 12 months.

They're doing the same thing for The Last of Us. Another game that's popular around here.

Just something to consider.
