Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (The Game)

I didn't see a thread of this game on these forums (I used the search function).

For anyone who hasn't heard, this is a downloadable game on PSN (and soon to be available on XBOX live) and it's really a blast to play if you got friends or people over. I've enjoyed playing this side-scrolling beat em up game inspired by similar games on the old 8 and 16-bit systems. Takes me back to the old Streets of Rage/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle games. I think the demo is available as well, but I'm not sure.

BTW, It's based on the comic.

Ill be picking this badboy up tomorrow. Been looking forward to it. I thought it released ona ll platforms on the 10th so I was upset when I found out I had to wait 2 weeks for it to drop on the 360. Tomorrow its this game and shank to hold me over until mafia 2 gamefly gets here.

There is a demo and the game is really fun. Been playing with two other buddies and it's been a blast.

Theres no demo for the 360.


Also, when do 360 games get released on the arcade? This game was supposed to be released today but I can't find it

Games release on Wednesdays. It'll be out tomorrow.

I'm going to buy it tomorrow. I heard the level grinding sucks, and the lack of "drop in/drop out" co-op sucks, but it should still be fun.

The Scott Pilgrim graphic novels are close to the top releases in the last decade or so.

I couldn't make it through the first level. The graphical style is interesting but the game plays really slow, imo. The first level seemed to go on FOREVER.

Great throw back game. If you like River city ransom, super dodge ball, renegade, etc you'll love this. It gets extremely tough after the first level too.

Fun game. Art style is clever. The 16 bit grapics have a nostalgic feeling to them, but the smooth animations keeps it modern. First level was entirely too long and there was nothing to break up the monotonous button mashing. Chibi video games always bring back good memories though.

okay, what kind of game is this? Is it just a button smashing scroller or does it have other elements to it?
