New Yakuza at TGS! Could be final game

That ad, placed on the magazine's opening page (the page you see when you first open the cover) is for the new PS3 Yakuza game, which is still unnamed.

If you've played the Yakuza series, you'll recognize the setting as the neon city of Kamurocho. But it looks like the area has been hit by some sort of catastrophe.

Is this what series producer Toshihiro Nagoshi meant when he said they'd be taking up the theme of "destruction" as one of the game's concepts?

The full Yakuza PS3 reveal is expected for Tokyo Game Show.

I hope this gets ported over here. I was a little late to the party but have been enjoying Yakuza 3 recently, and looking forward to Yakuza 4 coming out in NA.

I found it funny that the forum username who posted this was CaptainZombie

I do however, think it's absolutely stupid that Sega would do this to the fans of the story of the game. It's made a joke of the whole series and as far as gameplay goes, I doubt you can just tack on shooting in this engine and honestly think it's going to compare to the countless other games out there.

I have to say, as a fan of this game that has now purchased 8 copies (1-4 plus Kenzan in Japanese and 1-3 in English), I'm disappointed and a little angry.

Well apparently this is supposed to just be a spin-off and not necessarily the final Yakuza... either way though, this, right now anyway, looks downright stupid.
