I have to vote for Soul Calibur. I am not a huge fan of fighters but I loved the original SC. I cannot wait to pickup SC2 after work.

My favorite fighting series though is Virtua Fighter. The new VF4:Evolution is the best fighter I have ever played. Definately worth the $20 price tag

Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag where great games but i could never really get into Tekken 4. Have you played Tekken 4, if so, what do you think of it?

I've played it for about 15 minutes at a friends house and thats it. The game seems just like Tag and the 3 one..

Tekken 4 is noy a quality game and doesn't hold a candle to Soul Calibur 2. While both haven't changed too much for the better, Soul Calibur has always played better than any tekken game imo(but I'll admit when Tekken 2 came out I played it to death.), and Tekken 4 takes a few steps back in general compared to other games in the series. So if you played and enjoyed the hell out of tekken before, you won't be impressed by T4.

i liked Tekken 2 in the arcades back in the day, but since SC and SC2 have come out I like that a lot better. Not picking up the Xbox version yet, I might just rent it
