    Re: Minecraft

I'm not worried. Satya Nadella has said repeatedly since becoming CEO that he wants the company to make software and such for all platforms available instead of just putting it out on their own.

    I'm sure Minecraft is fine.

EDIT: Phil Spencer says himself that they will continue to support and innovate across all platforms.

Anyone play this on the X1? I'm looking to doing a cooperative town like Map, leaving minecraft play for extended periods of time, and allowing people to join and build whatever, hoping to find a few people interested, would be able to build whatever you like, including co-op builds, haven't decided what difficulty, but it would be survival not creative mode.

I started playing this again on the XB1 with my brother and a couple friends. Man, how I've missed going through caves with friends and building all of our houses by each other.

Sorry to bump such an old thread but - My son (age 5) has been talking about Minecraft lately. Not sure if it's friends/cousins who have brought it up, commercials or toys he sees at stores, but how complex would this be for a five year old who doesn't play many games other than on a tablet? I was thinking of grabbing it, but I wasn't sure how much reading etc is involved. Thanks!

EDIT: I figured I could get it on PS4 or maybe a tablet. Not sure.

It might start out a little over his head. But I think in the long run it might be pretty good for him. Kind of a cause and effect tool. Need this to do this, don't do this kind of thing. Plus as he got older it would be something he got more and more out of as he learned all of the ins and outs.

Of course it could go the other way and tire of it in 5 minutes and never touch it again. That is the gamble with a 5 year old, which I am sure you are only too familiar with.

                  Good luck

Thanks. Looks like it's $19.99 on PSN. Might just grab it. At worst, I may enjoy it!

Minecraft has been a life changer for our family. Our kids have taught themselves math and to read strictly due to Minecraft. They build all kinds of stuff and experiments. I highly recommend it for little kids.

My nephews who are 6 and 7 just love this game and have been playing it ftoo r years. The 7 year old is quite a little tech wiz as the other little guy is more into sports.

Mine craft has taught him so much about not only the game but how to use iPads and use the internet in general.

I'm even toyed with the idea of getting it. Don't know if for PS3 or 4

                          Anyone still playing Minecraft?

I take such hiatuses on it, but since I have been so consistent this year with it thought it was right to bump this and see if anyone else is still playing?
