Picked this game up a bit ago. I don't quite know how to describe it. It's simple and complex and brilliant all at the same time.

I have a soft spot for any game that encourages customization or creativity, admittedly, and this game is an ultimate creativity tool.

If you look at a few forum posts, he doesn't seem to realize just how much he's made

Notch, the Minecraft creator, is currently doing an 'Ask Me Anything' on Reddit (www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/g...). The user Whubbard asked Notch how much revenue Notch has made.

Notch answered:
A lot. It all ends up in an account somewhere, and I try not to look at it. I get a normal salary these days for day to day stuff, but there's a big pile somewhere.

The game sold about 800,000 copies at 9.95 euro and then so far 1 million more at 14.95 euro. Paypal takes a cut, there are taxes, and such, but it's still a huge wad of money.

I'd recommend optifog. It enhances the way the game looks and also may boost your FPS a whole lot.
