Kinect Sports.
A collection of various sports that can be played alone or with 2 or more players simultaneously.
Bowling. Probably the part of the game i am most interested in for family play. A few videos out there but not many give a good view of the actual gameplay. What I have seen looks like it is very easy to get strikes. You can spin the ball but the videos make it seem like it is based more on swing your arm across your body versus grip/hand motion. Brunswick is coming out with a bowling game in a few weeks so buying this game just for bowling might not be the right move.
Soccer. Haven't found a vid that gives a good view of gameplay and control. Seems like it is more passed on passing station to station as I have yet to see a video with any actual dribbling. Without a video of gameplay and actual control it is tough to tell if you can spin/bend kicks.
Ping Pong. This actually looks like a lot of fun. Many different shots and spin. The speed of the ball seems to have been slowed down to allow more of a serve and volley game that evens out differing skill levels.
Track and Field. Haven't seen many videos but I have seen 100 yard dash, hurdles, and javelin. Not sure is that the entirety of Track and Field or not(after I typed this I found screen shots of discus and long jump). Track part seems to be based on movement of the feet/legs with zero stride so kids and grownups can have fun racing against each other.
Boxing. Haven't seen any videos of this. I am about to go see if I can dig any up because this might be a good chance for action in a game lineup that is long on adventure but somewhat short on action.
Beach Volleyball. Another part I haven't seen anything on.
Other comparable games. For me, it came down to this, motion sports, or deca sports. I went with this because it seems like a good mix of variety, quality, and party/family play. The other two could have made better cases for themselves if I had been about to see them in more detail. It could turn out that one or both of those do one or two sports well enough to make them an additional pickup.
