Its an issue at the moment - I saw posts on the GFWL forums. One suggested solution was to retry the download. But it hasn't worked for me yet.

Yeah, I saw that and tried it and it didnt work still. They are going to call me tomorrow evening as my issue was escalated so I will let you know what they tell me.

On the forum they said that due to the amount of sales, they have run out of product keys at the moment, and everyone that has the no key problem should get one next week.

This is a bummer, since like lots of people I have the week off and was looking forward to playing this during this time.

My thoughts exactly. You would think that putting something on sale of a dime might cause a ton of sales so they would be prepared but I guess not.

Thanks for the heads up, I just checked and I have a key now as well. Cant wait to dive into this as Ive been waiting forever to get into either this or the Civ series.

Got my key, installed. Now that I installed, when I hit play, it just opens a folder in Program Files and expects you to sift through all of the exes in that folder. Age3Launcher is the one I chose. What's so hard about a steam-style launch? Or at least a desktop icon?

I agree...I think they do that cause this is a complete collection so you can choose the different games. I think you picked what I did, the Age of Empires 3 regular game, the other 2 are the expansions and whatnot.

I don't totally know for sure, I just got it cause it was 10 cents lol. I know the game is a fun RTS, but that's all I know haha

On Windows 7 it adds the proper shortcuts to the Games folder in the start menu. Since I have no desktop shortcuts at all, that suits me, but you can probably create a proper desktop shortcut from there.

Oh yeah, I know. I simply added it to steam and will never have to open that client again.
