Well, lesson learned ordering from Amazon with release date delivery. It's currently 7:30 CST here and no package has been delivered. UPS Tracking shows same info as yesterday...oh well, just gives me one more day with a couple other games.

odd, I've never had an issue with amazon and I live in tiny town way off the map.

Holding out hope (barely a little at this point), that UPS is still out for delivery, even at this hour. Had a package once before that hadn't arrived as scheduled, called UPS and was told that the driver was still out and that if it was next day delivery, the driver would stay out til all packages were sent. Sure enough, about 8:30 that night, it showed up.

UPS usually drops off here in my neighborhood around 6:30 pm or so. I'm fairly convinced it will not show tonight and will be here tomorrow.....AFTER release day!

So... is there supposed to be a game manual in the games case...? I went to play some multiplayer and it asked me for a game code, but I don't have one.

I bought the game brand new little over an hour ago.

Any time I've gotten release-date delivery for a game from Amazon (all the time) it arrived the day it was supposed to.

UPS has arrived at my house as late as 9 or 10 PM before.

Yeah it was sealed. I went back to Futureshop and told them it had no code. Apparently they have gotten a lot of people come back today saying there was no code in their game case.

Anyway, they opened up another copy and gave me the instruction booklet with the code on the back, so I'm good to go!

at the beginning of the game. Really happy with this game so far. Had to force myself to stop. It really is, IMO, the crossroads of Movie and Game Street.

Well, my "release date delivery" with this game never arrived. Called UPS with tracking number, they showed no information of them even having the package! Amazon shot me a text message last night that my package was shipped and would arrive today. This was my first time ordering a release day title with them. I usually go with Gamestop and have never had a problem.

Damn man. Sorry to hear that. I have never had an issue in the years and years I used them for release date delivery. In fact I got my collector's today and I can not do anything with it because the power is down still.

The ring and necklace is dope though!

I'm now into Chapter 7 after playing today.

I must say, the cinematic-like gameplay has its ups and downs. It's terrific for a once-over, but I don't know how much I'll want to replay this entire game on Crushing while accomplishing the same tasks that I have been doing so far.

The graphics are beautiful and the story/dialogue is stellar. The 3D was meh but I'll try it again (was pretty low-res and so far it's been eye-straining for anything I've used 3D with on my TV). The sound effects are much improved. Gun pop is very clean, and ambient sounds are much more powerful. Gun battles are much more difficult this year (still not sure whether it's good or bad), and hand combat is much tighter, though is still missing something. So far, puzzles have been my favorite part of this version. I had just said before that I hope they're not too straightforward, and so far they've been almost anything but that, which is great!

The enemies are just as blanket as they've always been, only they're a different type this year, which is at least a slight breath of fresh air. We'll see which characters are the most investing, which will turn on you, and where this story is actually going to go from here. For the time being, I'm going to spend my entire week playing this game up until MW3 (then play that for a week until SR3, then mix them all up at the end of the month).

Stopped at the beginning of Chapter Ten. This game is just so beautiful. I want to just stare at all the details in the environment. It does a good job of mixing up the gameplay as well. Exploration, puzzle solving, gun fights, and fist fights.
