God of war 1 collectors edition,I NEED HELP

[Fu Man Ching]

The hall of hades boss(giant minotaur)is driving me crazy. I have to use the analog stick and match what is on the screen( half circles ). I have been trying for hours and am thinking there is a glitch or something. I have a brand new controller so isn't that. It cant be this hard . If anyone has beat this boss on the re-done PS3 version please give some hints. It is also hard to kill medusas when you have to use the analog stick in the same way

Try lowering the difficulty all the way down just for the fight. It gives you alot more input time to enter the half circles. I never had a problem with it & I got Platinum on both. tee hee.

yeah it took me like 8379983 tries to beat him but i finally did. just take ur time, after trying it so many times i got used to the pattern.

I give up. Even on easy it cant be done. I get to the 4th half circle and then i screw it up somehow . There seems to be no logic to why im messing up.Im doung what it says .Just sucks I cant see how the game ends. To the guy who spent days mastering the art of half circles more power to you. I dont have the patience for that.lol

yep.I gave up and im onto gow2 .lol. Its pretty bad when you cant even start to damge the boss cuz you cant do simple half circle movements.

I'm reviving this thread before I break this game in half. I'm playing GOW 1 and I'm just past the beginning at the Challenge of Hades (i think) and it's right after I beat those minotaurs in the fiery circles to get a door open.

I go thru the door to a passageway (I'm supposed to get to a maze) and get to that floor where you have to platform jump over the floors that open and close with lava underneath. The 1st one is easy as it's over 2 rotating slabs and all you have to do is time it but the 2nd one has an open floor that you have to jump over onto a rotating ledge at the end that's opening and closing. I've tried double jumps at least a 100 ****ing times and have landed close enough to that far ledge but every ****ing time I die in the lava even if it looks like I made it.

I don't know what else to ****ing do and I'm getting really pissed because I'm near the end of the game and to get stuck with something stupid like this is ****ing annoying.

The walkthrus are no help because they don't even mention it. If someone has played this recently and remembers this part and tell me what to do I would really appreciate it. Is there some special jump I can do or is this game been made just to piss me off. In which case mission accomplished.

Game is just tough fellas... you've got to time a lot of things just right to be able to do it. In the case of the minotaur and those half circle movements, your gestures have to be exact or it's not going to register. As for the poster above, you have to land on the second ledge just as it closes then immediately jump off again. You can't jump over it. You need to time it just right so you land on it as it closes.

Patience dudes, patience. I've beat all three of the console games on hard... you aren't running into glitches, you're just playing games that can be very, very tough at times.
