    Gaming Backlog Help

I have the next three weeks off due to Christmas and I have decided it is time to start trying to clear some of my backlog due to the great games coming out next year. So, I am looking to clear up at least a few of the games I have not played/finished yet. I'd say I'd be able to get through one big RPG in three weeks.

I'd like some help if I could get it as to which games I should clear first based off of how rewarding or how short they are. I'm not talking about doing platinum runs or anything right now, as I have plenty of games I sill need to finish at least once.

I kind of have gamer ADD because it's hard for me to stick with one game for a long period of time, so if someone could help me pick 5 games out of this list that I should focus on getting done based on ease of completion of the story before I head back to school for spring semester, it would be greatly appreciated (please factor in quality of the game, because if it's really good I can get through it easy the same way as if it is short.) If there are any that I need to play, please mention that, And also if there are any that I should just forget about, due to suckiness (KZ2 maybe, because it's really hard for me to want to play it).

I honestly like pretty much all of them, my interest just shifted to something new and I sort of forgot about these ones. The only ones that I really have trouble with getting the motivation to play are Killzone 2 (just boring), Forza 3 (just got GT5), and Dead Space (overrated to me).

Without further ado, here is my list of games that I have not completed/started and where I am at in each game. I'm excluding sports games.

    PS3
Bioshock (I'm almost done. This is my third playthrough, first for PS3 though. Two levels left)
Gran Turismo 5 (I don't think I will ever finish this, but it's on the list. Just got my A license).
Dragon Age: Origins (The only story quest completed is the Mage one, "Broken Circle")
Killzone 2 (Only have 2 trophies from story mode. Blood Meridian was the last one I earned.)
    Borderlands (I'm about level 10)
    LittleBigPlanet (completed Metropolis)
R&C: ACIT (Last trophy I got was "completed great clock, sector one. I think I am flying in space at the moment. Haven't played in a while.)
Demon's Souls (Haven't started. Got it as a gift this past year sometime and I'm almost too worried I will get PO'd and break a controller.)
GOW Collection: (Almost through GOW1, played this on PS, but just rebought it for like 15 dollars, haven't played since I re-bought it. Already finished all 3, but don't really remember 1 and 2.)
Oblivion (I'm not anywhere close I'm sure, no trophies so I can't really tell though. Played for maybe 15 hours so far, it's hard for me to play it because I played fallout first and it's like a worse version of fallout to me. However, I really like FO, and probably haven't given this a fair chance yet.)

    360
NFS: Hot Pursuit (unopened, just got the other day)
Alan Wake (Played this the other day and it seems like it is just getting good, completed episode 4. I stopped after 3 because it was just boring as hell, but episode 4 was way better than what I remember of the others.)
RDR: Undead Nightmare (Already beat RDR. Just unlocked Mexico in Undead.)
    Forza 3 (Level 38, in year 4)
    Dead Space (Completed chapter 3)

I would play them in this order

    1. Borderlands
    2. R&C: ACIT
    3. LBP
    4. Dragon Age
    MLB: Texas Rangers
    Soccer: FC Dallas, Fleetwood Town
    NCAA: SMU, UTA
    NFL: Dallas Cowboys
    NHL: Dallas Stars
    NBA: Dallas Mavericks

I own a band check it out

I'm basically in the same boat, if you don't mind me listing my games I need to get through as well. I'm going home for break so I'm traveling a bit lightly, meaning I didn't bring all of my games. I also left Skate 3 behind because I can't copy my save file information onto my external HDD (I have a slim PS3 at home I'll be using, not the same one).

Without further ado, here's the list:

      Backbreaker (RTBB mode)
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (I just play online)
Grand Theft Auto IV (finished the game, but I have the DLC expansion packs)
Major League Baseball 2K10 (MLB Today)
      MLB 10: The Show (franchise)
ModNation Racers (online & trophy collection)
Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time (story)
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (Crushing mode)

I'll probably hold off on the baseball games for now as well as MW2, and I've been cycling through a chapter of Uncharted then a game of Backbreaker, and throwing some MNR into the mix. I'll be doing more of R&C as well, but I need to find out where GTA IV will fit into here. Plus I'll be getting Gran Turismo 5 more Christmas, at least I most likely will. I have a month off but I'll be taking up the family room with this one, so I have to find out which things to prioritize.

Oh, and LBP is back at home so I'll probably find time to play that one with my sister.
      Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60

          LOL... I don't. Hence why I have a backlog.

My advice would be stick with the games you like and get rid of the rest. There are so many great games to choose from now so if I get bored or frustrated during a game I let it go.

This time of year just adds to my backlog due to all the crazy end of year sales. I just picked up a bunch of decent games for around $10 each, plus I'll get a couple of games for Christmas

I would finish Alan Wake. You probably have 5-8 hours left. You could knock that out in one night.

I am with you on the backlog though.... been playing NCAA and NBA too much. I need to finish Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Mass Effect, Fallout 3, Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Assasins Creed 1 (lol), 100% RDR, and the entire Orange Box... so yea....

              Good luck to you though.

I would suggest you hold off on Mass Effect until next year when the third comes out. You can do like an hour a week or something. Also should consider doing that with Bioshock also. That is a backlog though. I realized I'm playing MW2 & Black Ops too much.

                  Re: Gaming Backlog Help

Updated, and I took some advice and decided to give up on a few of them (red ones). Taking Oblivion off of my list, kind of takes a load off, but it's just a small part.

                  PS3
Bioshock (I'm almost done. Last level, then this is getting shelved for quite a while.)
Gran Turismo 5 (I don't think I will ever finish this, but it's on the list. Just got my A license).
Dragon Age: Origins (The only story quest completed is the Mage one, "Broken Circle")
Killzone 2 (Decided to give up on this for now. I am not going to be getting KZ3, so this doesn't really matter. Will play if I ever clear up the others.)
                  Borderlands (I'm about level 10)
LittleBigPlanet (completed Metropolis, undecided if I will be getting LBP2. But this will be done if I do decide I want it.)
R&C: ACIT (Last trophy I got was "completed great clock, sector one. I think I am flying in space at the moment. Haven't played in a while.)
Demon's Souls (Haven't started. Got it as a gift this past year sometime and I'm almost too worried I will get PO'd and break a controller. Might give this a try this week.)
GOW Collection: (Almost through GOW1, played this on PS, but just rebought it for like 15 dollars, haven't played since I re-bought it. Already finished all 3, but don't really remember 1 and 2.)
Oblivion (I get attacked by guards every time I enter the city now, so I'm going to give up. Might try again in a few months before ES V. But this glitch in the Thieves Guild quest was driving me nuts.)
Fallout 3 (I know I should be clearing stuff instead of adding stuff, but I love Fallout, and wanted to start a new game. Level 6 in play-through number two.)

                  360
NFS: Hot Pursuit (Level 5 Suspect, Level 4 Cop. This game is pretty fun, I will keep playing it.)
Alan Wake (Played this the other day and it seems like it is just getting good, completed episode 4. Haven't gotten to it yet, but plan to complete this by the weekend.)
RDR: Undead Nightmare (Already beat RDR. Just unlocked Mexico in Undead.)
Forza 3 (Level 38, in year 4. Shelved for now while I am preoccupied with GT5 and NFS: HP)
Dead Space (Completed chapter 3. Shelved for a while (maybe forever). Not worth a ton, so there's no real point in selling right now.)
Fallout:New Vegas (See Fallout 3. Level 3 in play-through number two.)

                    Re: Gaming Backlog Help

Id play through dead space finish alan wake and try and beat demon souls all the other games except for hot pursuit and gran turismo are not worth the time or experiences anymore

second and third play throughs along with acheivements hunting is a waste in a 3 week time period. Enjoy your time off and play some games for fun
