Has anyone heard anything about this? I thought it was supposed to come out yesterday along with the Tomb Raider Trilogy, but it didn't. Haven't heard anything about it either

Re: Splinter Cell Trilogy (PS3)
Nothing beats Chaos Theory imo when it comes to the SC series. Lucky PS3 owners!!!!EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Re: Splinter Cell Trilogy (PS3)
I'm actually glad they pushed it back. Too many games coming out in the next 30 or so days.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Splinter Cell Trilogy (PS3)
The PS Blog released some new info. Just confirms 3D and Trophy support... They mention that the first Splinter Cell is going to be ported from the PC version, but the wording makes it sound as if the first game only.
When we started this project, one of our main goals was to provide the players with the best possible content. Hence we decided to port the game from the PC version which had more content and detail compared to the PS2 version.Comment

Re: Splinter Cell Trilogy (PS3)
Back in March, we received some distressing news about a delay affecting the release of the Splinter Cell Trilogy for PlayStation 3. Pushed to June from its original March 22nd release date, the Splinter Cell titles left PS3 gamers waiting.
Thankfully, a post on the PlayStation Blog from Ubisoft's PR Coordinator Alex Monney gave us some interesting tidbits about the collection to help pass the time.
As we already knew, the Splinter Cell Trilogy is upscaled to HD and includes Trophy support for all three titles. We also already knew that the Trilogy would be released as a retail disc, but that the games would also be made available individually on the PlayStation Store (just like Ubisoft's previous collection for Prince of Persia).
But now we know that Splinter Cell Trilogy will run in 3D (if you have a television capable of supporting 3D, that is) and each game in the Trilogy has been ported not from the PlayStation 2 versions of the games but rather the PC versions. In a response to a reader inquiry on the blog, Alex Monney noted that Ubisoft "used the PC versions of the games for the trilogy as they provided the best quality." Most interesting.
Also confirmed in the user comments is that all multiplayer functionality has been removed from the Trilogy ports. When asked if multiplayer would be included, Monney answered "unfortunately the answer to this question is no, the online part of the original games won't be included."Comment
