As an individual that came into the RE Franchise when 4 came out, I've been looking to take on some original zombies from the past games. The only reason I didn't, was because of the still camera idea.

          Re: Resident Evil 6

That trailer made me feel like I was in the movie theater seeing the preview for the first Spiderman (not the one that's coming up, the one years ago). I have chills!!

I agree with a post before... it kind of looks like 4 different stories maybe? It definitely looked like 2 pairs at the very least. The action looks even faster than Resident Evil 5 which would be my only complaint (also a bit more like a shooter than action/adventure/puzzle).

The acting looks SUPERB, the emotion sounds amazing with the characters speaking. I can believe all this is happening. I'm so ****ING PUMPED!!!

I'm not one to turn down Co-Op, since is adds an extra way to play, but if I'm grouped with a sub-par AI partner. I'll call in the nukes to deal with this zombie infestation... Curse you RE5...

Details haven't been fleshed out yet, but looking at the trailer it looks like the parts with Leon could be co-op, Chris's part of the story is single player, then Ada is playable after the Chris/Leon story arcs are done with, and it looks like Wesker's kid with I think that would be Ashley.

                Re: Resident Evil 6

Maybe I was wrong about Wesker.

Is Hunk the Third Protagonist of Resident Evil 6?

Since last night's trailer debut for the newly-announced Resident Evil 6, fans have been trying to figure out the identity of the third protagonist joining stars Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield in the ambitious sequel. Could it be Resident Evil's most mysterious character?

The Hunk theory makes more sense than several of the others making the internet rounds right now. Some say the character is Steve Burnside, but then Burnside was never a mercenary, and the hair doesn't quite match.

                Full size
Hunk, on the other hand, has done mercenary work, and the hair seems to be a match as well. What hair, you ask? While all of the U.S.S. special agent's in-game appearances have had him masked, reader Chalice (who brought the theory to my attention in the first place) offered up a photo of Hunk unmasked from the Resident Evil 3 epilogue files. It could be a match, if you squint a little.

The biggest clues, Chalice says, are in the dialogue. At 2:11 in the video, the character says "I was better off as a mercenary". That fits. It's even a rather witty little nod to Hunk's appearances as a playable character in the Resident Evil Mercenaries game and game modes. And at 2:25 in the video he says "No no. Not me. Just my blood. All the world can have it… ‘long as someone ponies up the dough."

Chalice explains that Hunk has long been rumored to be immune to the Umbrella viruses, one of the reasons he's the only member of his various teams that generally survives. If he's immune, the key to saving the world could be in his blood.

Makes perfect sense to men, though I must admit my knowledge of Resident Evil lore isn't quite as comprehensive as it should be. Is this a sound theory, or should it be torn apart and fed to the mutated dogs? You decide. One day soon Capcom will prove the theory right or wrong, and you can cheer or weep accordingly.

And his awesome melee moves from RE4, although I think the way melees were done (aside from the knife) in RE4 and RE5 were awkward at best.

                      Re: Resident Evil 6

Wow, what an awesome trailer! This game has a lot of potential.

Looks like Capcom is trying to mesh the best of both worlds from RE4 and RE5, and I really hope they succeed. The story, characters, and settings all sound great too. Glad they went the re-boot, but not re-make route and are giving us a new zombie outbreak in urban areas.

Can't wait to hear more about the new control scheme, game modes, and horror elements. With this, RE: Revelations, RE: Operation Raccoon City, RE: Retribution, and RE: Damnation, 2012 is going to be one heck of a year for RE fans.
