This game is soul-crushingly difficult. I'm getting pwned on easy mode. I somehow got past it, but the spike blocks on the Torture Chamber stage were driving me INSANE. I just kept forgetting about them while focusing on speed and strategy.

Re: Catherine (PS3/360)
Just game is very, very good. Just finished the stage with the butt that shoots hearts earlier today and am loving the storyline. Game is hard even on easy, but you just have to use strategy and patience. Can't lie, had to go to youtube and look at some walkthroughs when I got stuck a few times.Comment

Re: Catherine (PS3/360)
This is the vid that helped me out. Actually can't remember which one I used so I'll post both.
Basically you got to avoid the hearts since they invert the controls, which makes you as good as dead in this game. As far as the trap blocks, go past them to trip them up first but of course do NOT stay on them at all. But the good thing is once you trip them up once they are just like regular blocks and do no harm.
Just beat the baby stage...yeah, this game makes me not want to have kids now. I'll def be having some nightmares tonight.Comment

Wow this game is brutal. Stuck on the torture chamber level in Chapter 3. Trying to do this on normal but may have to move down to easy difficulty. Even thought I keep dying, I'm still loving this game. It has that "just one more try" feel to it and doesn't feel overly frustating. My Teams

Catherine Sales Set Atlus Record
A week after its release, Catherine has already become Atlus' biggest launch title ever. The game has shipped the most units at launch of any Atlus game in the company's history.
"Catherine has exceeded our highest expectations," said Tim Pivnicny, VP of Sales and Marketing at Atlus in a statement given to IGN. "It released last week to tremendous critical acclaim and fan response, bolstered by the release of a demo a couple weeks prior, and continues to generate discussion among fans for its mature themes, engrossing subject matter, and frantic, challenging gameplay.
"It is fitting, then, that Catherine can boast the largest launch in the 20-year history of Atlus, and continues to see strong sales at retail."
Atlus could not provide exact sales numbers at this time. Catherine launched in North America on July 26 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

I still don't have it.
I ordered it elsewhere as amazon.ca wasn't delivering on pre-order. Now it looks like I've got 2 on the way. Thinking about keeping both.Comment

Re: Catherine (PS3/360)
Yeah, it was....On chapter 6 right now. Have to admit I used youtube for the boss battles in Chapter 4 and 5. They were driving me crazy. So after about the 40th time I died I thought no more and looked them up. The Boss Battles are what's tough in this game. So hard for me to think under pressure in some deranged boss battle. I refuse to move to easy mode for now.My Teams

Re: Catherine (PS3/360)
Finally got past stage 5 on easy. I have no shame playing easy since easy is still hard as nails in this game. Youtube walkthroughs to give me tips have helped a lot.Comment

Re: Catherine (PS3/360)
Yeah, I've been playing on easy from the start, and it's still pretty challenging. I'm up to the 6th night. I was in it for mostly the story and Persona social elements, but I'm finding the puzzle side of things to be more enjoyable than I thought, so much so, that I've replayed some stages to see if I can do better. Loving this game. It's so unconventional.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Anyone playing that Rapunzel game in the bar. It's actually a pretty deep game as well. 64 levels and I'm stuck on level 6. Anyone made it through to the end? If i'm stuck at 6, I can't imagine how tough it's going to get later on.My Teams
