I'm having issues with a Sharkport CD and my PS2. I've posted about this problem in the proper forum but I am still confused about a couple of things.
I understand that whenever you experience a Disc Read Error on a PS2, you should actually have the words, "Disc Read Error" pop up on your screen. I'm taking this as the true definition of a Disc Read Error.
Here's what I've got....
Whenever I place a blue bottomed PS2 disc into my PS2, I do not see the words, "Disc Read Error", pop up on my screen. Instead, I get the red background screen and the words, "Please Insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 Disc in the Drive."
This is the same message I get if I try to put an XBox or PC-CD in my Playstation 2. In other words, it's reading the disc, but it just thinks it's not a PS2 format disc.
My question is this: Is what I'm experiencing, with the red background screen and all, a true "Disc Read Error"? Or do I have other problems?
