Respawning points can always be critizied but this game might have the worse of all time.

I had the worse one last night. For some reason it put me in the game right in front of the enemy, he kills me for the game winning kill. I was like WTF, why did they put me in a game that was near the end and right in front of somebody.

I also had several games, where I get into games right during a carpet bomb, so of course I immediately die, then respawn in front of the enemy and die again, all within 5 seconds.

Very interesting. That may explain it. The last two days have been awful for me. The game has been unplayable. Sometimes the screen freezes for about 3-4 seconds.

Glad that I have Uncharted 3 and Skyrim to keep me busy until a patch is released.

I have the PS3 version and like I said in a previous post my screen like yours pops and stutters momentarily. I can only play a few games before I give up and play my other games. It's not my connection because I have highspeed internet plus my router is in dmz mode. As much as I disliked MW2 at least it was more consistent running online and far smoother. Right now it is one of the worst games I have seen for it's online performance at the moment. I do hope IW doesn't try to pass the buck and blame it on the consumer.

I have the PS3 version and like I said in a previous post my screen like yours pops and stutters momentarily. I can only play a few games before I give up and play my other games. It's not my connection because I have highspeed internet plus my router is in dmz mode. As much as I disliked MW2 at least it was more consistent running online and far smoother. Right now it is one of the worst games I have seen for it's online performance at the moment. I do hope IW doesn't try to pass the buck and blame it on the consumer.

This is disheartening. I haven't had a chance to go online yet, but I'm beginning to think I should have gone with my instincts, and gone 360. Anyone have a 360 copy they want to trade for a PS3 copy? jk. Hopefully, this will get corrected.

Not sure if others have seen this... but whatever "lag compensation" they put into this game is kind of killing it for me. It's crazy, but in my testing you are literally penalized for having a good connection in MW3!!!

When I am the only one in my house online, I lose A LOT of 1-on-1 gunfights when I obviously fire first... It's like my player is a second behind everyone else. Often I will fire a good 1-2 seconds before the other player and not even register a hit marker, only to drop dead like i've been sniped or hit by a shotgun... then I see them using an smg or machine pistol in the kill cam. I almost NEVER see my screen turn red from getting damage, I just die pretty much instantly.

Now, last night I had my laptop connected to my work server and my wife was streaming netflix on hers. I constantly had a 3 bar connection all night, yet the tables had completely turned! I was murdering people all night... it was like they didn't notice me until I started shooting at them, and I could take bullets like I had a constant ballistic vest on! I had 10 straight games going around 30-5 but alas when 11:00 hit, with my laptop off and my wife in bed I went back to a 4 bar and instantly started struggling again.

I don't want this to sound like i'm complaining... I just really wonder if they changed the way the game was coded? I've had well over a 2 K/D in the last two COD's too, so I'm quite familiar with COD. Granted, i'm not doing that poorly... I think my k/d is somewhere around 1.6. Something about this game just seems "off" most of the time. Very frustrating... I wish I could record my gameplay because I have several WTF moments on a nightly basis. Anyone else notice this?

Your not alone. I go throught the same exact thing. Maybe it has to do with our cable provider dropping speeds at certain times of the day.

I did some searches, and I'm seeing more and more threads pop up about it on various message boards. I wish I knew the cause, because it seems to have gotten worse... I guess with more and more people getting the game? Lately most nights the game is downright unplayable for me.

On a different note, I REALLY miss the mercenary moshpit playlist from Black Ops. I am often jumping on here and there for a few quick solo games, and I really prefer objective games. Just seems like you can't play domination, headquarters, etc anymore without going up against a full team. Not to mention I just DESPISE team deathmatch in MW3.... the spawns are the worst i've ever experienced.

They adjust the spawn points over time. I have seen some bad ones, but nothing worse than any other games.

I'm honestly not having any issues that I have not seen in prior versions.

I think it is comedic when you get spawn dropped. It's part of the charm of the game. And also it's a function of tiny maps.

I gamed with adice a bit last night, but I think he had to leave early.

Then ScoobySnax and I had a long session until I had to interrupt it for dinner. It started off pretty funny, though: there was a little twelve year old kid calling me a grandpa with no life, while he was glitching in a truck in Outpost. He proceeded to go a glitchful 10-3, but scored the lowest by a significant amount in Kill Confirmed, helping us lose. The next game, he was on the other team from us, and we kicked his *** until he finally quit.

By the way, I'm with you on the lag. I can't win a single knife fight. Not a single one. Any time I round the corner with somebody else, they always one-up me with their attack and kill me. My connection is stable, though not the best. I wish they could do something about this.

I'll have to hold off on this game for the next week or so now, since I'm picking up SR3 later today. I'm glad I got to level 31 with the G36C though, and I'm right next to there with the M4A1 as well. I'm still aiming to get the RPG, but that will be a long while until I unlock that (level 80, I believe). I've already logged over 20 hours into this game. This. Is. Digital. Crack.

I played some headquarters for the first time last night, and even they were bad. At one point an enemy and myself spawned right next to each other and both started sprinting to the HQ. After a good 5 seconds we both realized it at the same time and luckily I got the drop on him. We were both laughing about it afterwards in the lobby.

I guess the crappy spawns are a symptom of the smaller maps... I just fear that some organized teams will soon be able to figure out some of the deadliest spawn traps we've ever seen!

Got a nice award - Renaissance Man. Kill people using 3 different guns without dying. Anyway I mention this because I picked up a silenced AK. It bucks people down, but I'm starting to think the ACR may be the best gun in the game. Not sure what else can put people down as fast and as accurate.

Nice, I like to complete challenges so I might try to tackle this later. I haven't played with the AK yet, but right now the best gun in the game IMO is the ACR. It's even more deadlier with the silencer. Yesterday I got max level on the 44 Magnum, now I'm getting close on the Five Seven pistol.

I played a whole lot this weekend and didn't experience much lag or connection issues at all. Most games I had 4 bars and didn't notice any hit marker issues. Yesterday afternoon I ran into some lags for a couple of minutes, but I'm not experiencing no where near the connection problems as some of you are...*Knock on wood*

I played online on Saturday and I did not have any problems either. Weird. I have crappy dsl with a steady 3bar connection. I will be in heaven when I get my cable modem. Sidenote. I tried to play kill confirmed with ransoms in a lobby and completely got my *** handed to me. :-(

I need to run in a party lol. I am a good team player and run support 75% of the time.

I saw some statistical breakdown of the guns and the ACR came out first followed by the G36c and the UMP. I'll see if I can find it.

LOL well he called me 64 years old. He did say something about me having no life or something too, and saying he bets one of my students (I teach) will beat me up someday or something. I have no idea what he was saying. SSX was at the other end, giggling the entire time.

I partied up with these guys today and all they did was complain, complain, complain.

Everytime they died, they complained. When they died by a direct impact noob tube, they complained that grenade lauchers were too strong in this game.

When they got knifed, they complained that commando was still invisibly, in this game.

When they got sniped by a guy, they complained that the snipers were too strong in the game. I think the snipers got patched because I've been getting hitmarkers like crazy.

And when I told these guys to just enjoy the game, and stop complaining they told be shutup, the started trolling me. Lol. I had to mute one.

The point is, the game is not perfect. But remember its just a video game. Have fun .

Welcome to online gaming.

Whenever I need a dose of comedy, I un-mute people and listen to the complaining. People hate to die in MW3, and when they do, it can't possibly be because the other player shot first or had a better position. There must be something wrong with the game or that player is a camper.

I love the addition of hearing other players mic's immediately after you killed them. 75% of my kills are because I'm a camper or a hacker according to the Call of Duty community.
