It also prevents the other team from using any killstreaks for the rest of the match other than the Specialist ones.

BTW after playing the maps some more here are my thoughts:

Liberation: This map is probably one of my favorites for the moment. Plenty of Line of Sight areas as well as multiple ways to get to each part of the map. Very fun for me.

Piazza: Easily my most hated map right now. Really close quarters everywhere. Strikers and Akimbos run wild as well. Really bad map for the OP guns like the Stiker and FMG's.

Ahhh did not know this , in regards to the opposing team losing the ability to call out a killstreak. it still does not guarantee victory, but it des handicapp the opposing team till a degree.

I also only like liberation. Piazza is going to be a mess because of the striker and Akimbo's.

Anything in the area of close-quarters is a fail, there's enough of those in the main games maps...

So when do the maps come out on the PS3 for elite premium subscribers? I'm trying to see if it's worth purchasing elite premium on the PS3.

Pretty much one month from yesterday. Xbox has exclusive rights to all Call of Duty DLC for one month.

Liberation is pretty good so far, I'm doing pretty good on it....and piazza is pretty much a blood bath.

I've noticed a couple people raging everywhere that the spawns in the new maps are terrible... have they been playing the game lately? Spawns are bad even in the current maps...

Piazza spawns are even worse then the regular maps. I can tell you how many time I played that map and spawned, died, spawned, died, spawned, died, etc....I rage quit after that. Bad thing is I was doing really well then die once and boom. Got 5 deaths in 3 seconds and then quit. Lol

Wow, to hear that is disappointing but not surprising. Seeing after how long this game has been out and the spawns in the original maps still haven't been fixed.

I can only think of one map with decent spawns in the original pack and that's Hardhat.

The more I play, the more I hate the new maps because the spawn points are terrible. Died 8 straight times tonight within a 20 second period. Spawned, quick scoped, spawned, quick scoped. Couldn't even move. Almost snapped the disc in 2. LOL

Can anyone confirm if they will be launching any of the Maps from COD4 or MW2?

Map wise in this game I have heard many express their dissapointment with them, and I'm definitely one of them.

Seeing how the 2 new maps are not faring that well. I would rather have classic maps that were popular in the past and put into this game.

Now I ask do you think the problem with the maps are with some of the issues with unbalanced weapons , or simply bad design?

I know if one team runs around with Akimbo's FMG's ,and striker's with damage. Things will be so unbalanced. I'm just wondering if this is ruining the game more than the design of the maps.

No, it is bad design. Two of the biggest maps have the worst spawns. Outpost and Interchange, especially in objective based game modes.

It's unrealistic to think that your never going to have a bad spawn, especially on the smaller maps. Its going to happen at least once or twice, but a lot of the issues can be remedied by just fixing the spawn logic.

Right now im to the point to where if they added like a 3-5 second spawn invincibility I be happy. It have to be only when you spawn without a tac insertion though.

They've patched the spawns a few weeks ago, but it still doesn't seemed to have made a difference. Most changes they make to the game are done through hot fixes not actual patches. Like the akimbo fire rate fix, was done through a hot fix last night. FMG's akimbo's should be a lot less powerful now that they fire 50% slower.
