How improved is the second compared to the first? I personally was thinking more along the lines of Splinter Cell Conviction type of movement with a bit more polish. Uncharted isn't bad though. I wonder if they'll give an option for different camera angles.......

It's time for a reboot. The PS2 era controls and animations gotta go. Hope this is the game I've been waiting for.

Square Enix files trademark for "Hitman Absolution"

The filing has been classified under "video game software," indicating that it could be the title of the next Hitman game.

Absolution is a traditional theological term for the forgiveness experienced in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This concept is found in the Catholic Church, as well as the Eastern Orthodox churches, the Anglican Communion, and Lutheranism.

Remember he lived in a church for Hitman 2.

It's also a decent Muse song.

Yeah, I wonder if that means he's going to be less of a hired assassin and more of a "good" assassin going after all the bad guys who used to hire him? Could be setting up for a moralistic point of view, I don't know.

Is that the release date hidden in the barcode?

I could be, but FWIW 040147 was always the last half of 47's barcode, the first half changed from 640509 to 110706 in this vid and those numbers are 47's birthdate.

A YouTube comment mentions E3 for that first half of the barcode.

                              Yes, yes it is.

That's why I love the Hitman series. There are always those little ****ed up hysterical moments.
