Picked up Penumbra Collection (4.99) and Amnesia: Dark Decent(4.00) for just under 9.00 on Steam. good Halloween typish games for next week.

Probably wont stop there as there's also:
F.E.A.R., F.E.A.R. Extraction Point , F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate , F.E.A.R.2: Project Origin, F.E.A.R.2: Reborn (DLC) : $6.79

Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 $6.79 each

DEAD Space 1 and 2 for $13.59

Devil May Cry 4 : $9.99

BIOSHOCK 1 and 2 for $4.99 Each

Borderlands $4.99

and so on and so on....

Yes but... those are all old games and you can't sell them if you wanted.
Just two examples from that sale list:
I can get Bioshock2 now for $9 on console and sell/trade it when I'm done for $5.
A few months back I got Left 4 Dead 2 for $7 and sold it for $10.
Its easy to play old console games real cheap (or free) if you are a good shopper.

Yes but... those are all old games and you can't sell them if you wanted.
Just two examples from that sale list:
I can get Bioshock2 now for $9 on console and sell/trade it when I'm done for $5.
A few months back I got Left 4 Dead 2 for $7 and sold it for $10.
Its easy to play old console games real cheap (or free) if you are a good shopper.

And on consoles what you buy is what you get. STALKER mods made the game an entirely new game for example.
BIOSHOCK mods add new plasmids ...and so on.

So yeah you can get the same games on consoles but the game you get is all you get.

Also you have to remember a lot of games (NBA2K12 for example) come out cheaper than consoles. 29.99 compared to 59.99 AND again NBA2K12 can be modded for even better graphics etc.

So even up front you're saving money most of the time.

Anyways yeah you can sell the console games if you want but when you have the PC version half the fun is seeing what extras etc... the Mod community will bring.
I see your point but IMO if you can get the same games on PC (like I can now thankfully) the plusses on PC are pretty nice.

My PC has also never had a RROD or YLOD.

Just sayin'. It's typically components that I can fix.

While I've fixed both PS3's and 360's, it's much easier to do that sort of thing on a PC.

And just for the record I prefer console gaming.

I really don't prefer 1 over the other. And for the record I can't remember the last time I've had a BSOD. Not saying games haven't just crashed but that's no different than console lockups.
And BSAD doesn't mean I have to sent to MS for 150.00

Anyways I'm just happy to be back into the PC mix and have even more options especially with the addons from MOD groups.

I used to miss the free Mods when I gave up on the PC. Now I can hardly finish the games I want to play on the consoles.

I seen that on slickdeals Sunday around noon and jumped out of bed. I tried 2 games and it actually worked so I picked up a few more. The funny thing is that the girl was looking at the price and talked to another employee about it but they let it go.
