For $100 a year you get a lot of great services from Amazon Prime.

I have Prime, but I'll stick with GCU. I rarely buy games on release day. So getting a 20% discounts months later is what is key. That plus I buy enough other crap from there that I try to stay as an Elite member each year if I can. I think I hit it this year by $4.

GTA V is $38.99 on PSN. I just bought it used at Gamestop last week. Going to return that copy and buy on PSN.

If those deals for Infinity and Lego Dimensions are still going on, I might have to jump on one. I think I want to get my son one for his birthday and see if he will enjoy it, but I have no idea which ones are best.

Definitely recommend the game if you can swallow the price tag unless the deals are still going on.

Unless you want Amazon Prime and other stuff that's not video game related, Best Buy's GCU is still the best value and here's the main reason why - the 20% off at Amazon only lasts for two weeks once the game is released where as with Best Buy, there's no time frame whatsoever.

You're getting a hell of a lot more than this for $99. This is just an add on to Prime as a whole, not really a reason to subscribe.

I don't stream movies or TV shows or any thing. I tend to buy movies I like a lot and I don't really rent much of any thing any way and there are not a lot of TV shows I like. Most the time I am watching tv like 90% of the time I am watching sports. So those another things don't really matter to me. Also amazon used to do something where if you preorder a game you would get like $10-15-20 credit towards your next game. They haven't done that for while. So in some ways the are just doing something they used to do and stopped doing and I used to not have to pay tax on amazon but I have had to for a few years now. So really while I still use amazon they are not has good has they used to be.

Did Best Buy ever get release day delivery?

Not all get there, but about 75% of my purchases do. If I really want a game on release day I buy online and pickup at store.

I very rarely trade games in or buy used games and I already have Amazon Prime so this is a great deal for me. I mostly just buy new games, so I want them on my doorstep on release day. We have a Best Buy here, but it's about 25 minutes away from my house, however on a Tuesday in rush hour you can double that. No thanks. I'd rather pay full price than to have deal that aggravation.
