Re: The Walking Dead
I save scummed once. I'm a lil' ashamed cuz this game is made to be pure. But I just didn't have the heart for a decision made in defiance to take at the end of Episode 2.
SpoilerI pitched forked whats his name at first cuz he pulled the ol' "You're too soft" gag, so I wanted to stick it to him, literally. But I didn't realize Clem would be there to see it. She's seen enough death. I'll kill a million zombies around her, especially if it protects her, but I can't let myself kill a person in cold blood. Not right in front of her. A credit to Telltale that I actually care a bout her. Normally kids in narratives are loads. It would've been easy for me to care about her as much as I care about Duck, which is not at all.Comment

Re: The Walking Dead
Played through all of Ep. 1 last night, a lot of fun!
Looking forward to the next 4. I'd purchased this a while back, barely started and then got busy. I restarted everything so I'd know what was going on.
EP 1 Spoilers below:
SpoilerI love the choices you have to make. I tried to save the guy getting run over by the tractor (not the kid), and also saved Carley, not Doug. The permanent feel of those decisions is cool, and I'm sure it gets more intense as I go on.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: The Walking Dead
So, I broke down and bought this on Saturday.
I had played the demo a while back, when there was only one episode and it was cool but I think I had a lot on my plate at that time, so I never got back around to picking this back up.
Needless to say, I'm glad I waited because if I would have had to wait for new episodes to come out I would have lost it.
The story keeps you so involved and so attached. So many twists and turns and WTF moments that leave you on the edge. You never really have a sense of where exactly it's headed because things can change in an instant.
Although, I'm curious how the decisions you make over the course of the game change the landscape of the way it ends, or how.
SpoilerI feel that no matter what choices you make throughout, the ending still remains fairly linear in terms of ways for the game to end.
Is there no possible way to avoid getting bitten? Can you ever make it to the train/boat with Clem? Would you still be bitten if you let Clem leave with Vernon?
Me being the curious one, I read up on if these changes were possible and if choices you make could drastically change the ending. Short answer, they don't, which left me fairly disappointed. I understand the challenges of doing so, because there could literally be thousands of possibilities, but to create a game, that is so driven on the way you adapt to the story, to limit this game to only one possible ending was a big mistake in my opinion, and severly hinders replay value. Before, I read up on it, I was 100% going to play this game again, and in a totally different way, but to find out that it wouldn't change anything in the grand scheme, it pretty much killed any motivation to do so.
No matter what Kenny still smashes Terry's head with a salt lick, Doug or Carley will still die in the same place, Kenny still dies in the alley way etc.
If they make a second series, at least make more than one ending!!!
All in all, this game was still incredible, and the story telling was so good, that it made me ignore the issues that I would have had had I not been so enthralled in the twists and turns of this adventure.
It was definitely worth every penny of that $20.00 spent.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Glad to be going through this all at once, like the previous poster said. I'm going slow cause I'm busy, but still way faster than release date.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
