Been waiting to play season 2 on the One, only bad thing is I think I lost my saves for season 1 and 400 days I had on a USB stick.

Re: The Walking Dead
Yeah I'll have to re-play those because they were on my old PSN account. That's okay with me though, both games were so awesome and I can remember a lot of my decisionsComment

Re: The Walking Dead
Sounds like Episode 4 is coming this month!
In a tweet yesterday, the Director of PR over at Telltale Games, Job J Stauffer, announced to Walking Dead fans that the fourth installment of their point and click adventure would be arriving this month. The as of yet untitled fourth chapter is still being kept under wraps, but Stauffer assures fans that more news will be arriving in the coming weeks.

Re: The Walking Dead
Seems the reviews for episode 4 are all over the place. Some love it, others were disappointed. I enjoyed it but it left me scratching my head at some of the important decisions they left out at the end. Clem's decisions grow more intense and leads towards another cliffhanger. I will say one thing for certain. I can't wait for Season 2 finale!
Spoiler
My decision to cut off Krista's arm left Clem with Kenny as a negative start to the episode. I saw in a review where she laid dieing in Kenny's arm at the camp as a different path that was taken. Kenny's spiral emotions may have still been going downhill after her death but was he as angry towards Clem as he was with the decision I made?
I saved Sarah back at the trailer. So I gave a good one right across that nagging girl's cheek. Even at the observatory deck, I pleaded with Jane to help her. Yea, I know, but I was just playing the part of what a little girl would have wanted done.
The decision to go with some members of the group was surprisingly left out of the final list tally but crawling through the ticket booth was in? Or did Clem take the baby in a nurturing way left in? Maybe no matter what, Clem and Jane were going to make it up that observatory together. I picked to follow Jane because I was feeling a click between the two. Naturally, the decision to rob or not rob Arvo's medical bag is a haunting decision that leads towards the climatic end. My decision to not rob him may or may not have contributed to Rebecca's death. Be interesting to hear from others that took that different choice.
Speaking of Jane, her decision to leave was abrupt. I wanted to plea with her to stay longer but there wasn't a choice there. I remained with the group instead of asking to go along and accepted her nail filer.
In one review I saw, they spoke of the heartfelt conversation with Kenny inside the tent. Maybe from the choices and decisions I made, I never had that moment. Interesting.
Some reviews didn't like the way some of the deaths happened and compared it to a cheap way of killing off group members. I didn't mind it at all the way Carlos, Nick, Sarah and Rebecca were eliminated.
I hope before the finale, there's a way they recap my decisions from 400 because I can't see how they're not going to include it in somehow. Was trying to find it in the saved files list but to no avail. I don't remember all the characters from that episode.

Re: The Walking Dead
I played Episode 4 a few nights ago and loved it as usual.
Spoiler
I stole the meds even though I was sure that it would come back to bite me and sure enough it did. I hate (and by hate I mean love) the cliffhanger. I can't wait to play Episode 5 to see who all survived that bloodbath.
I'm wondering will E5 be the end of Clementine? Has a Season 3 been announced?

Re: The Walking Dead
SpoilerThe ending saved this episode for me. I didn't really care much about the choices I had to make because I knew what was going to happen in the end. I choose to take the medicine just like I choose to take the supplies as Lee in the first season. At this point, I'm using Clementine as if she is a younger version of Jane. Jane leaving was expected because they were building up to it but Luke getting all emotional over it was a little bit over the top. Kenny has been up and down for me this season. I'm not sure if I can take anymore of his depression(granted I did chop off her new girl's hand to save her but she eventually turned into walker food anyways).
I wonder how to play out the dynamic of Luke & Kenny in the next episode because it clear that one of them is going to bite the dust. I wouldn't be surprised if they make you choose right from the beginning seeing how one of the Russians fired off some shots at the end.
Overall a very meh episode but the finale looks to be very good."This is for all of my peoples who understand and truly recognize. Some won't get it and for that i won't apologize"- Talib KweliComment

Re: The Walking Dead
Without spoiling anything, knowing how games are made and being a natural meta-level thinker has taken some of the fun out of the storytelling. I mean, when a character has a "choose if they live or die" moment...
It totally takes me out of the game, because I know the truth. And I guess I'll throw the reason in tags just to stay safe.
SpoilerIt's because I know that it won't matter in the end. I knew, the moment you have to choose midway through the episode to save Sarah's life, that she was going to die no matter what. Because when you have a divergent path like that, it costs tons of game making resources to have two versions of the game after that. One that has Sarah alive, and one that doesn't. And come the end where the deck collapses, I tried to save her again anyway. But I knew it was only a matter of time.
It's like how Nick could actually die in the 2nd episode if you tell Walter that Nick is a bad guy or whatever. He refuses to kill the walker and Nick gets his larynx eaten. But if you do, he saves him. But the thing is, in the next two and a half episode...Nick is just there. Barely has any dialogue. Doesn't really do anything in any meaningful except to die and turn and have to be killed to continue the chapter.
Only real choices are aesthetic ones, and thus, the ones that don't really matter in the greater scheme beyond some dialogue lines you get. Like the only real gameplay difference between taking the supplies in Season 1 and not, was Clem wearing the Brooklyn hoodie, a few lines of dialogue throughout, and just what the stranger at the end was so pissed about.
And also, I do know that it's highly possible that Molly could return, just like Lily. Even in the worst outcome I saw, I never saw Molly get eaten. I've done a playthrough where I save her, where Clem saves her, and where I shoot her in the shoulder. I've never done one where I don't shoot at all. So I guess she could die in that one. But Lily could absolutely make a return later on. She either steals the RV or is left alive and able to fend for herself.
If Kenny could get out of an alley or a big huge building filled with zombies, then why can't Lily survive on her own?Comment

Re: The Walking Dead
Finished the last episode. Overall, I felt this season fell short of the first one in terms of story and characters. Episode 5 was one of the better episodes, up there with episode 2 and 3.
SpoilerI ended up shooting Kenny and then left Jane, just leaving me an AJ alone. I never liked Kenny from season 1 and the last 2 episodes in this one really made him unlikable, Jane is bat**** insane also so I didn't have much hesitation in my decisions.
The flashback after Arvo shoots you had me very briefly thinking they were going to play off this whole season as a dream. I would have been pissed if it ended like that.
I do think they killed off Carver too quickly. He was probably the most well developed character and not having him in the last 2 episodes hurt the end of the season IMO.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: The Walking Dead
SpoilerI left Jane so damn fast. I should've chosen the "You're crazy!" line. Seeing Lee again was hella nice. And just to purposefully invoke the feels, I had Clem tell Lee "Promise you won't leave me." Such a brilliantly done moment. Didn't expect it at all. And my God...didn't expect Clem to get shot. So many dangling threads left over. What happened to Christa's baby and then Christa afterwards? Is there any significance whatsoever to giving the dying man some water? I was dead certain he'd appear and treat you nice or poorly based on whether you gave him water.
I have two playthroughs. A true Clem who had a nice Lee raising her. This is the one I did first. She's all about keeping the group together and leaving no one behind, not wanting anyone to die. That kinda thing. Keeping her innocence, so she didn't watch Carver get his face stoved in. And a distrustful, selfish Clem that had a mean, bastard of a Lee protecting her. Last thing he told Clem was not to trust anyone. So that's what she's doing. So be interesting to see what changes and what doesn't. I'm pretty sure you wind up with the same kinda scenario playing out just with different dialogue. But all the same...
Bonnie? *sigh* She goes off on this misandrist stuff, then proves herself to have no integrity. Going to cut and run with Arvo and Mike and just take ALL the supplies? I could see if they were taking the baby too. But to just leave like that after that? Jesus, I hate her worse than Kenny. At least Kenny is upfront with his faults. He'll tell you right to your face he don't like you. But she'll abuse the kindness of strangers and then rob them blind. Tries to play the innocent party, but shes just as culpable as anyone else.Comment
