FPS better on 360 or PS3?

Just curious about this. I've had a 360 since 2007 and have played all my FPS games on the 360. Of course, this is mostly because all of my friends owned 360's as well. I bought a PS3 last summer (primarily to play the Show) and have enjoyed it as much as the 360. I recently downloaded the COD: Black Ops demo to the PS3 just to see how a FPS played with the DS3 controller (which I really like). Now, I have Black Ops for the 360, but I really liked how the DS3 controller felt and responded while playing the PS3 demo.

Just wondering if you guys have a preference about which system you game shooters online?

    Thanks.

It's another one of those personal opinions..

I prefer the PS3, but I enjoy playing Halo on the 360.

The only game I ever play on my 360 is Halo, everything else I purchase for the PS3.. so It may just be that I prefer my ps3.

I ultimately prefer the PC (Battlefield games, etc), but for console only games, Halo on the 360 and Killzone, Resistance, etc on the PS3.

I have both systems and cant tell a difference. Most fps games are multi console anyways, so I dont think it matters. Online is much better on the 360 due to xbox live, psn is terrible. If you want to play your fps mostly online, Id go 360...if you are mostly single player, both are darn near identicle

PC would be best obviously. but for consoles, I think the 360 controller better suits FPS games(IMO) than the PS3 controller because of where the analog sticks are located.

I prefer the 360's analogue stick placement. On PS3 I feel like my thumbs keep bumping into each other.

I'd rather play FPS on 360. The controller just feels better to me and I hate the PS3's L1/L2/R1/R2 buttons.

I prefer thre 360 but it's really a wash IMO. Online FPS I'd go 360 by far. IMO

The controller for the 360 is better suited for FPS.

But, I prefer FPS on the PS3. (Killzone 3, Uncharted 2 (3rdPersonShooter), Resistance Series, MAG)

Plus, there are far more idiots with mics on the 360.

If you could use the 360 controller for the PS3 that would be the best of both worlds.

Well thats why I only play people I know. Yeah, there's far more mics used than PS3. I'm sure the idiot counts are simular though..
When I do play team based modes I'd much rather have everyone with mics.

that is what the permanent mute option is for. I probably have well over 1,000 people muted in all the CoD/Halo games I used to play. I never have to hear them again no matter what game I play in the future.

Oh yeah I'm not saying that there aren't idiots on the PS3, you only hear the idiots on the 360 more since everyone has a mic.

I mute everyone all the time anyway. Last night I was playing with a random team and no one one was using a mic (Uncharted 2) against another team that was all playing together with mics. We won 5-0 in Plunder. Mics are overrated most of the time. Unless you are a MLG gamer, which I will never will be.

That is a great option. How do you access that?

on their Xbox Live profile, I think the last option is to mute. unless it has change, they will stay muted forever no matter the game you play.

Nice. I will have to do that, if I pick up another 360 sometime down the road.
