    Sonic The Hedgehog 20th Anniversary

    It's still unclear as to exactly what this is. Hopefully it's of better value than Sonic 4, which I still haven't bought because I thought it was too little value for the entry price (did any additional content ever come out for Sonic 4 anyway)?

    I post this because I keep hoping against hope that one day there will once again be a Sonic game worth purchasing.

    I personally think they should stick with a side scrolling game as opposed to going "3D". I loved the first few Sonic games but they got away from what worked ie a side scroller with awesome speed and power ups.

    I think they should just do an insane side scroller with amazing speed and 'next gen' special effects and i'd think about buying it.

      They could very well be getting back to that, honestly. Sonic 4 was 3D graphics with 2D gameplay and that was met with generally favorable reviews, and Sonic Colors was the same deal with some new wrinkles for the DS (I think) and that was very well-received.
