EA could have been rolling in the dough if they would have made the purchase. I'm glad they didn't though. I'm hoping that someone other than EA & Activision decide to take a stab at holding T2 under their umbrella. I personally would love to have Ubisoft but that's just me. Re: Analyst: Take-Two Now Very Attractive To Possible Buyers
If EA bought them we'd either see a new GTA every other year with a new RDR and LA Noire type game in the off years.
Or we'd see them leave them alone like they do with Bioware and we'd still get the same quality games.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Too many people let their feelings towards NCAA/Madden affect their opinion of EA overall. Look at how many quality titles that company has been a part of when it comes to non-sports titles.
And seeing a GTA or Red Dead every year? Give me a break. That's based on what? Their sports franchises? Oh wait. EVERY sports game is released yearly, not just EA's.
Last time I checked it wasn't EA that decided to release Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk, or Call of Duty on a yearly basis.Comment

Guys EA in general isn't bad. Like others have said they have released a lot of solid non sport games.
It's not EA Sports.

Re: Analyst: Take-Two Now Very Attractive To Possible Buyers
EA gets a bad rep because of their football titles and they were kind of the leader DRM movement which everyone hates. For the most part though they are a pretty decent company.
I don't want them getting Take-Two though.Comment

Re: Analyst: Take-Two Now Very Attractive To Possible Buyers
It's hard to get over the fact that EA destroyed console FB gaming (looks like this year may be special though) and wiped out NASCAR also.
Other than that I have no ill will towards EA.
I don't hate them, I just don't trust thier creative knowledge and decision making.Joshua:

Re: Analyst: Take-Two Now Very Attractive To Possible Buyers
Isn't Ubisoft trying to move their main IPs into a yearly cycle? Also I'm with Cusefan on this. Also since when did EA stifle creativity? Generally its the fans not buying new types of IPs and then complaining that everything else is a copy of another game. Look at a game like Mirror's Edge, it was something new, but no one bought it even though reviews were pretty good. Then they complain when nothing like that gets made again and that series is canned. Take Two would be fine under EA. Not like they aren't already pushing out a Rockstar made or published game a year anyway at the moment.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

EA destroyed football games? If you want to blame anyone for "destroying" football games look at the NFL. They are the ones who chose to go with a exclusive developer.Comment

That was another thing I was wondering, seems like it comes up every year after their main R* game releases.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Re: Analyst: Take-Two Now Very Attractive To Possible Buyers
I guess my first post needed a smiley face. I was joking about EA releasing a GTA every other year. Outside of sports games, EA typically has good games. Not always, but more times than not.
Now, with sports games, completely different story.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”
