I'll be good with another Vegas or even taking place in LA, NY or DC.

All I know is that I need another RB6 game in my life, as awesome as both Vegas games were.

Used to LOVE the old R6 games (Raven Shield and earlier) but UBI sold out and tries to appeal to the casual market/CoD players these days.

Still playing R6: Raven Shield with the 2.0 mod. Bohemia is the only ones keeping it real any more, in terms of making an actual tactical shooter. (aside from the struggling indie or 2 like Ground Branch)

But there is a Rainbow Six game being worked on. It might not be called Patriots.
This makes me sad.......I hope they don't make it into a COD style game or BF style game. I want tactics, not over the top explosions and extended gun battle scenes.

Only trailer I saw showed QTEs for kissing your wife.

Who needs the planning phases anymore ?

Yeah. I was a fan of the original RB6, but the planning phase was a bit intense for more casual/normal gamers IMO.

I loved it, but people who didn't live and die gaming and Tom Clancy would definitely struggle with it.

I am on the side of wanting more strategy and planning, just not as much as baka I'm guessing.

I loved Vegas...by far the most time I put into a game last gen. We had some great matches with OS guys. I hope and pray for another classic on the PS4.

And that's why there was other shooters for the more casual fans, but who needs the diversity in gaming right ?

There's a few modern games I enjoy, so I'm not completely against all modern games or anything like that. I'm just not pleased about the general direction mainstream/AAA gaming has taken in the last decade or so.

I understand your frustration....I think you'll have to find the more "indie" games that try to mimic these hardcore type games.

Mainstream gaming is so expensive for a big release that they can't focus on such a small segment of gamers anymore. That's where the smaller studios can knock one out of the park.

And there lies the big problem with mainstream/AAA gaming these days and how it has really gotten too big for it's own good.

There's a famous saying that goes...."Trying to please everybody is the key to failure"

They're aiming to make money, and in order to make money you have to target the widest audience. Sometimes we forget that these companies are businesses I think.

If more niche games made them enough money vs. investment then we'd see more of those....

Well the ridiculous investments have been the problem. You don't need to spend a hundred million dollars to make a good game.
